Cass Tech running back Mike Weber, a four-star prospect and the No. 69-ranked player on 247sports.com's list for 2015, made another unofficial trip to Michigan on Saturday and -- apparently -- came away impressed.

Not just by the chance to meet Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson -- who was at the game -- but also by his interactions with new Michigan offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier.

"It's definitely changed since they fired the last guy and brought in Coach Nussmeier," Weber told 247sports.com's Steve Lorenz this week.

"I like talking to him. I believe what he tells me and he's someone I wouldn't mind playing for. I was kind of disappointed earlier in the process because Michigan was the school I grew up rooting for and things kind of faded away. It's picked up a lot lately and it's becoming clear to me that I'm a player they want and that feels good."

Weber is one of several running backs Michigan is targeting for its 2014 class, the other highly-touted player being former Wolverine commit Damien Harris -- the country's top-rated running back and a five-star prospect.

Michigan's main competition for Weber, at this point, appears to be in-state rival Michigan State. Weber also has reported offers from Ohio State, Tennessee, Wisconsin and several others.

This has been discussed on other boards for a couple days and already been refuted as not something ohio state made. Just something one of their coaches forwarded to him on twitter or something.

I mean come on, I hate osu as much as the next guy, but no way would they approve something as terrible looking as that. They didn't even change his high school uniform. That looks like something I would try and photoshop.

Visited Michigan twice in the last 5 days...

With Isaac in the fold, Michigan will probably only take 1 more RB and the best candidates seem to be either Harris or Weber. We won't take both and we might not get either, but the coaches could play them against each and we who (if either) commits first.
