Josh Gattis "we're a pro spread... we don't huddle. Ever"

This is either gonna go down as the greatest hire of all time. or we lose 7 games next year...

  • I'll believe it when I see it. It does not matter if you huddle or not… Either way, you need a creative offense and ways to get your playmakers the ball. A huddle doesn't make a difference.

    Go Blue!!
  • Blah, blah, blah. Heard it all before.
  • If the offense won't huddle then Don Brown better have his defense in the best shape possible.
  • Call it whatever you like, but at the end of the day you had better be willing & able to adapt. Every opponent has different strengths & weaknesses & the best O’s make hay attacking the weaknesses & avoiding the strengths. Theres no reason at all to never huddle. There will be times it’ll be advantageous to slow the game down & control the clock.

OSU runs the same spread pro style offense. they also run the clock down to 5 seconds before they hike it often,....

People seem to confuse spread for hike at the 35 left on play mark. OSU slows the game down and still runs a no huddle spread often. They also can move the ball 80 yards the field and score in 50 seconds on 8 plays for a TD to end the half without 1 huddle to break the backbone of a struggling Defense....

I'd be fine with OSU's offense.

That's just it. One of the reasons our defense has been as good as they have been the past couple years aside from having great players is Michigan controls TOP and allows a rested D to play for Dan Brown.

Having the #1 defense and the #1 least snaps go pretty good together when making a Mirage. That breaks down vs any team that causes them to break 40 snaps in a game.

Would rather score 21 more a game and allow 14 more a game. Make Our Defense actually play football for more than 14 minutes a game.

This. Why are coaches so stubborn sometimes? The “we’re going to run this no matter what” attitude kills me (not saying Gattis is saying that). Find their weakness, no matter what it is, and attack it each week.
