We've got a TON of marquis matchups this weekend pitting ranked vs ranked opponents!
Obviously, there's OSU @ PSU and Stanford @ ND. Who's everyone pulling for in those two games.
Personally, I'm hoping to see OSU brought down a few pegs seeing as they have played no one to date. Yes, TCU was ranked and it was supposedly a road game for OSU even though 70% of Jerry World was wearing red?! Oh and TCU followed up their loss to OSU by getting drubbed by a Texas team that lost to Maryland??? Sorry if I'm not impressed with that win for OSU. That said, PSU hasn't really impressed all that much either needing OT to beat App St and only leading Pitt 14-7 at the half and only leading Illinois 28-24 midway thru the 3rd quarter before going into run it up mode making the finals look more impressive than the actual games themselves. If PSU doesn't get out to a quicker start, it could be a long day for the Nits.
As for Stanford/ND, I'm going to be pulling for the Irish. The more they win, the better our loss to them looks. And if they win this game, I honestly don't see them losing until they go out to LA for their season finale with USC. And if ND is making a push for the CFP, that means we could potentially have TWO Power 5 conference champs left out of the playoffs and maybe that will finally get some serious talk about expanding the CFP to 8 teams as I feel it should be.
WVU @ Texas Tech is another interesting matchup with two prolific offenses. I'd kind of like to see WVU fall seeing as how they're ranked above us.
Lastly, there are 2 West Coast games. BYU @ Udub we will probably see BYU might be over rated based on their upset of Wisky. It'd be nice to see Udub upset though and the Pac12 brought down even more.
And lastly there is Oregon @ Cal. Big question in this game is how does Oregon rebound after suffering such a devastating loss. No real time to recover.
Should make for some entertaining football to say the least though...
Clemson in trouble down 7-16 at home at the end of the half with their newly-anointed starting QB already knocked out of the game. Too bad Bryant already announced he was transferring.
Syracuse choked that one away. Poor coaching decisions on full display. Sometimes I wonder if I could do a better job with game management then some of these D1 coaches.
McSorely was the best player on the field tonight. On 4th down, he’s winning or losing it for every coach in America except Franklin. That play call was beyond horrible.
You figure for a second that little pissant would say that to Franklin's face on the street just the two of them? The TV almost came to life on that kid. I'm sure no one feels worse about that call than Franklin, so STFU and move on.
God I hate Franklin. That fan wasn’t even being belligerent and Franklin wants to go fight him. You want to be pissed off be so at yourself you cost your team that game.
When McSorely is gone Franklin will come back down to earth and most likely crash and burn.
Taking the game out of the hands of your best player, when they needed him most was as bad as it gets. PSU should have won that one regardless, again the fault lay at Franklin’s feet.
While I’ll certainly agree in hind sight it was a pretty stupid idea. At the time when just comparing past on the field performance Petrino had a significantly better resume than Harbaugh.
And if you look at the state of Arkansas football since Petrino left it’s clearly not an easy place to accomplish what he did there.
And in fairness Petrino’s won just as many B1G titles as Harbaugh has. As a Coach.

Haskins looking very ordinary in the face of the PSU pressure.
tOSU wins a huge road game. Again.
How do you not kick that gimme FG in the 3rd? That puts you up by 2. And, it leaves you up a point even after the OSU TD.
And you have essentially 3 timeouts to talk over a 4th and 5 and you choose to run it? You chose to take the ball out of your QBs hands.
Dumb ass. Just proves he got lucky with Barkley and McSorely.
