- 2015 Lakewood (OH) St. Edward CB/ATH Shaun Crawford was one of 2 or 3 guys that I really wanted to see how they would test today, just out of curiosity more than anything. He didn't disappoint, running a 4.51 laser-timed 40, a 33-inch vertical and a 4.23 second pro shuttle. Checked in at 5-foot-9, 168-pounds.
Continues to list Michigan at the top of his list and I don't like calling these races too early because I think we all tend to overrate the importance of who a kid roots for growing up, but it's going to be tough to keep him away from Michigan if/when they offer. Could see a team like Tennessee maybe posing a threat if Butch Jones gets things rolling down there as he does want to run track as well and has mentioned being interested in the track programs down in the SEC. Still, big early lead for Michigan.
Also as a fun fact, Crawford doesn't turn 16 until August, he should really be a 2016 kid which makes his ridiculous track times even more impressive.
