Mattison Recruiting

http://m.espn.go.com/ncf/story?storyId=8914176 "I want to play professionally," Michigan commit Taco Charlton told WolverineNation in a recent interview. "That's why I chose Michigan, because I thought it'd give me the best chance to get me to the NFL, especially with Greg Mattison." Go Blue!!
Ohio St.'s actions are not unlike their lower intestine: stinky and loaded with danger.

Could care less about the pro game but, if a top recruit feels that Mattison can get him to the NFL, more power to him!! We truly are blessed to have Mattison in AA & hope he stays for a LONG time...have a major "man-crush" on him

Saw a tweet that said it all the other day (paraphrasing here): With Hoke and Mattison on board, Michigan will be in the top 10 every year in terms of recruiting rankings. Need some big time wins on the big stage to get in the 1-3 range consistently, however.

I can totally believe that and logic says that if Michigan continues to get top 10 classes, sooner rather than later those big wins will come. Only thing that will hold the team back is Ohio getting top 3 classes while Michigan is getting number 6. GO BLUE!

jsj_297 Yes sir, I bet GM walks into your house and convinces everybody they will be the next ray lewis, ed reed, etc I LOVE Mattison, but I hope he doesn't use that line... and I hear people often use similar ones. Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are just pure playmakers. They are/would be great regardless of who is coaching.

I would hope so... that should be par for the course at Michigan. From the looks of it, top 5 might be the new norm At least I hope so...

Nobody knows how these kids will pan out. Step 1 is to obviously get into the top 10 on a consistent basis. But there's a second BIG part of the puzzle: what do you do with them once you've landed them? Hoke & Co. have done very well with Step 1. We now need to see how they handle Step 2. We already know how Meyer handles it. Can Hoke match him in that dept.? We shall see.

Calling Hoke and Co... Go Blue!!
