Southfield coach Tim Conley said Marshall is visiting Ohio State this weekend.

"Lawrence took the ACT on Saturday then left to Columbus," Conley said. "He's probably there at the (Ohio State-Indiana) game right now."

Conley said OSU was the most persistent in its recruitment of Marshall. "The other schools didn't recruit Lawrence as hard," he said.

Oh well, not like we need edge rushers Hoke & Mattison damn well better get on the horn with Joe Henderson and tell him that he can play rush end at Michigan. So far, he's been turned off by the fact that we've been recruiting him as a SAM.

I know Hoke got Kalis and Thomas from Ohio, but Urban is really starting to take over midwest recruiting. We can not afford to lose top level in-state talent when we have a harder time recruiting nationally. God forbid we lose McDowell (he's visiting Columbus next weekend) and Drake Harris.

My biggest problem with losing Marshall is that we have two coaches in Hoke and Mattison, who are defensive line specialists. You would think kids like this would be lining up to play for Michigan. Instead, he goes to O$U to play for an offensive-minded coach.
