Has nothing to do with Treadwell's recruitment (coaches have already reached out to Treadwell and informed him that they still want him badly). This is likely Dawson's spot. We need wide receivers, even if they're lower ranked, under the radar types. We have to hope the kid is the next BJ Cunningham or Keshawn Martin.

If we were going to take a "body" at WR I`d have just as soon have it someone unlike the other 2 we've taken, and the two we took last year.

A speedy slot would have been a nice compliment. Actually, anyone with exceptional speed would be a nice compliment.

There aren't many of those floating around at the moment (and wots is that they have been looking for one). Incidentally, Jones did have the fastest 40 time of any wideout at Michigan State's summer camp.

I agree in principle but I don't think they (the coaches) believe that they're reaching. Time will tell though. BTW, in regards to a slot type, I like that Aregeros Turner kid out of Copley. He worked out at Michigan's camp back in June and the staff had considered offering him as a cornerback. He's a Cincy commit at the moment. I believe they recruited him as a slot/running back.

Kid looks solid. Plays offense, WR, RB, Defense, special teams, punt/kick return, and FG defense....Did anybody see that blocked FG at 1:16? My god, he shot out of a cannon on that play!!

A kid that plays all around like that, HAS to be a talented player. I see it says he clocked a 4.48 40 on his movie too, so I dont know where all this "needing faster WO's" is coming from? Kid looks plenty fast. I dunno, maybe Im out of place here.

Every WR says they a 4.5 or below. Its just what you do whether its true or not.

I think Jones has moved around quite a bit in the last few years. He's originally from Ohio (he knew Taco Charlton & Jake Butt when they were all young kids) and lived in New Jersey for a while before settling in southeast Michigan.

With that line up of colleges at his school this week I don't think I would put Jones as a 'low rated' WR....geesh. After Julio Jones and that stud Cooper on their team, I would say that Bama doesn't travel all the way up to Michigan to see an average WR, haha.

Thats my problem with the "experts" and there rankings.... If the kid had committed to Alabama last fall you have to wonder how many stars he'd have right now.

SEC is great, so if commit to SEC you must be great..... pretty much along the lines of the SEC as a conference being pushed up in the preseason rankings thus helping them as a conference making it to the championship games.
