In the ninth inning, Girardi removed Rodriguez for pinch-hitter Raul Ibanez, who promptly tied the game at 2-2 with a solo home run to right field off O's closer Jim Johnson. Ibanez then delived again in the 12th, sending another solo shot to right, this time off Brian Matusz, to give the Yanks a 3-2 victory and 2-1 series lead.
