I hate to sound elitist, but I'm so glad we're not recruiting kids like this. No loyalty. And probably no spelling bee or science fair trophies in his future either. Wow.

What that ESPN article doesn't mention is that Foster's prepared statement was literally almost identical to TJ Yeldon's statement last year when he switched from Auburn to Alabama. Frightening and diabolical at the same time.

TJ Yeldon last December: Over the last few weeks, I've really put a lot of time and thought into where I want to go to school and continue my football career. I am blessed to be in a situation where I have several great opportunities and I appreciate everyone involved who has helped me get to this point. I want to make an announcement so I can put this behind me and get to work on the things I need to do to prepare for college both athletically and academically. I am going to enroll at the University of Alabama in January. I have a lot of respect for Auburn, the coaches, and all of the people there, but at the end of the day I feel like the University of Alabama is the best situation and fit for me and my family. I am 100 percent confident with my final decision. I feel great about it and I'm excited to get started. Foster today:

In front of a room with plenty of Auburn supporters, Foster held up his daughter, A'Ziya, and unzipped her sweatsuit to reveal an Auburn Tigers cheerleading uniform underneath. Classy

ScottsdaleBlue Lefty strikes again... Go Blue!! He goes to school with the sons of Trooper Taylor and Curtis Luper. I doubt Lefty had anything to do with it.

formed a close bond with Michigan recruit Henry Poggi The Wolverines may also have suddenly found themselves in the mix for the nation's top linebacker recruit, Alabama prospect Reuben Foster, after he connected with commit Henry Poggi at the Under Armour game. Poggi reportedly alerted Foster to Michigan's potential interest and convinced him to get in touch with the coaches, and Foster looks to be following through, per Sam Webb ($): Once Foster and Michigan begin having more conversations, the 6'1, 240 pounder says it’s likely he'll get up to Ann Arbor for a visit at some point before signing day. "I don't know but the odds are pretty darn good cause I'm cool with [Poggi's] dad that I just met this week --- very cool with him," said Foster.

Goblue88 Maybe he just watched bama beat auburn by 45 and realized that auburn is trash? He stayed committed to Auburn all throughout their 3-9 season and only jumped ship after their coaching staff was swept out. He'll either stick with Auburn or end up at Alabama, Georgia, or LSU. Not coming to Michigan. 0% chance.

Just more about curiosity.

He switched high schools before his junior year so he could be closer to one of the dirtiest recruiters in the country. He has an Auburn tattoo on his arm. He has a four-year old child. Recruits like this very rarely venture far from home at all, especially if they're from the South. Not questioning his talent as a player on the field at all, but this is generally the type of recruitment Michigan keeps its hands off of. I'll be very surprised if whatever minor dalliance is going on right now goes much further.

Why would anybody (at this point) choose Auburn over Alabama?
