Biggest OOC game in a decade and we`ll have to put up with Hail to Victors on cassette tape????

Makes NO sense...how can our marching band not be included in the biggest non-conference game in years??

Let Borges pick up the tab.  He's got the dough.  This is truly unbelievable.  Let's paint the field with some stupid sh** and change uniforms every other game, but forget about the important stuff..like the greatest band in the land.

I'll bet dollars to donuts they make the trip.

Mark my words...this will be changed the band will go. I bet if the University doesn't do it, some alum will pony up the cash and send them to Dallas.

I'm as surprised at the decision as anyone else and hope they reverse it, but $$ is really talking within the Department these days (any other 25-year Charter Victors Club members get kicked out of the Blue Lot lately?) .  The balance between treating the Department as a business and also as the keeper of a great tradiiton is delicate at best.  Maybe we can get Mr. Shepherd or Mr. Ross to step up, as they have so many times in the past.
Unfortunately, you CAN have one without the other, but it's a real pain in the butt when it happens!

You forgot about the "artisan" pizzas which Dominoes "chefs" spent years creating.  Translation: We can't change the toppings because they are pre-packaged.

I was thinking the same thing. Someone, or a group of alumns, will step up to make sure they're there. Anyone have an idea of how much money it would take to get them there? How many band members are there? It can't be cheap!!

I understand that the AD can't pay for *everything* but this stinks. Season ticketholders get hosed out of a home game for this kickoff classic and now this?
