Found this today.

I think my person favorite from this is

“As far as coaching, there’s no one else like (Meyer); he’s a great coach,” (former Florida safety Bryan) Thomas said. “He gets players to do things you never thought you could do. But he’s a bad person. He’ll win at Ohio State. But if he doesn’t change, they’re going to have the same problems.”

Wow...not surprised, though!

Ohio & Meyer...seems like a perfect fit

Have said it for years, great coach, terrible human being. Meyer and Nick Saban are a lot alike in that way.

I've got plenty of stories that back this up. Meyer is a dirt bag.

Go Blue!!

Ohio St.'s actions are not unlike their lower intestine: stinky and loaded with danger.

He back stabbed a coach for years before finally being called on it. He's a coward and a fraud.

Saw that earlier. Then I read 500 articles about how he won 2 National Championships.

I sent the article to a buckeye friend of mine and here was his response.

Wouldn't you think Ohio would have been much more cautious than usual in selecting their next HC after what was going on there?

Nope. They don't care. It's win by any and all means. O$U will sell their mother down the river for wins.

We only have ourselves to blame really. From 1989-2000 we owned O$U athletically. They got desperate and embraced the dark side.

I'm wondering if all of these negative articles will somehow start to catch up with Urb on the recruiting trail.

He came to UF as a relative unknown (compared to what we now know about the man) and was riding his high from what he accomplished at Utah and carried that momentum over to his first few years at UF.  But it appears, at least according to this article, that Urb lost control of the asylum to the inmates in Gainesville (literally judging by the number of arrests that took place over his tenure at UF).  And I've always said, he saw the writing on the wall of what was coming and got the hell out before everything he built up came crumbling down hiding behind health issues as his reason for quitting on a program that was about to spiral downward.

To me, as a parent, I would have a hard time giving Urb the time of day if he came to recruit my child.  Sure, the man has won 2 NC's but, not only does he have the history of flaking out like he did at UF, but he also has a well documented history of allowing his superstar players to do whatever they please and also a well documented history of being dishonest with potential recruits as well as his own players.  How much longer will he get away with his shady tactics he uses on the recruiting trail?

I dislike Nick Saban every bit as much as I dislike Urb, but the things that have been surfacing on Urb lately are making Nick Saban look like a choir boy...

I agree Matty and any GOOD parent would have the same issues with Meyer-I know I would.  But half these parents are as dumb or dumber than their 18-yr old kids and if there's even a hint of striking it rich in the NFL, well then by god do whatever it takes, cut whatever corners exist, make it happen.  In the end, Meyer and OSU go together perfectly.  You couldn't find a better match-a dirtbag coach at a scumbag university.  They'll win-for a while.  Just like that other scumbag coach they had.  And then it will all go in the shi**** but this time it'll be fatal.

Your words to someone's ears (I would have put NCAA there, but they don't punish worth a $h!t)
Hail to the Victors!

Rest of the B10 vs. the SEC:  74-91-5

Another thing I was thinking that might make it harder for Urb to win at Ohio than what he did at UF is the microscope both he and Ohio will now be under.  When he came to UF, he wasn't facing near the scrutiny that he is now coming under from the media.  So, he has that whole side of things to deal with.  And then there's the whole NCAA thing going on with Ohio that Urb also has to contend with.  Urb didn't have to deal with UF being under the NCAA's microscope like he will now have to deal with at Ohio.  He won't be able to get away with half of the sh!t he got away with at UF IMO...
