I agree that Molk might be the most difficult position to replace, but at least we have the entire off-season to prepare Molk's replacement. Anytime you have to replace a center in the middle of a game, you can bet it is more than likely going to be brutal as we saw in the Sugar Bowl and the few times Molk was injured during games throughout his career. It is tough for a back-up to come in on the fly and try to make a smooth transition at that position. I'm not expecting Molk's replacement to be David Molk good, but I also don't think we will be as bad as what we saw in that first series of the Sugar Bowl either with whoever wins the starting job at center.

At least MSU won't be able to time the snap anymore.

the center may not decide, but he has the ability to change his mannerisms so the whole stadium doesn't know the snap is coming.

We've got to change our snap counts up more. We were really good with changing it up right after the Sparty game but relapsed later in the season. Part of the issue is getting the plays calls in and out faster. We broke the huddle a good amount of times with 15-18 seconds left. Hard to execute a lot of dummy snaps with that little time. If you watch the shotgun oriented teams in the NFL like GB, New Orleans, New England, ect they`ll have 3-4 dummy snaps. We're lucky to be able to get one. Hopefully that is one of the major things the coaches noticed after reviewing last season.

Hey, I agree with ya on the time issues, but to totally write of Molk because of a snapping/timing issue is totally unfair. Its like 4life has just said, he didnt usually have time for shannanagans. Of course hes going to snap the dang ball like that. You should be complimenting him on an awesome job, as he rarely if ever bad snapped and caused fumbles, he never caused a delay of game due to his "predictable snaps', and even if his snaps were predictable, he still got off the ball quickly, made his blocks, and rarely got beat because of it. He will be missed big time. I mean is Khoury our best hope at center, or am i mistaken 4life?

I sure hope not, JSJ... since Khoury is not pursuing a 5th year in the program and is no longer with the team...
