1. If the season started today, the starting corners would be Countess and Taylor.
2. Peppers is the punt returner.
3. Norfleet is the starting slot man, with Canteen behind him after a slow start to fall camp.
4. Glasgow and Willie Henry have separated themselves at the two DT positions (doesn't matter much, with how much we rotate on the DL).

1. Countess goes from 4/5 CB to starter? Coach speak all camp lives on. What about Lewis? Clark or Dymonte at SS?

2. I'm excited to see how this plays out. Get up field as quickly as possible and make something happen.

3. I'm not drinking the Norfleet koolaid yet (maybe I should be) but I see see Canteen eventually taking over here once he makes plays in actual games.

4. We have a plethora of guys to play here so I'm not worried. I don't know if any of them are good, but we have a lot of bodies do things will sort themselves out on Saturdays.

-Happy with #1
-excited about #2
-really hope Norfleet steps up and surprises by doing more at slot than I've seen on his kick returns. Still can't believe Justice Hayes wouldn't make a better slot receiver. He's a talented guy not contributing much being buried on the RB depth chart.

We're looking at 5 instead of 7 returning starters if Countess and Taylor don't start . You would hope that two of you returning seniors would be the best at their positions.

Glasglow at DT just leaves me speechless.

If he can catch the ball consistently Norfleet can be a real asset for this team. We have very few guys that have proven to be able to turn a small play into a big one.

2 brothers, both walkons, are beating out 4/5 star Offensive and Defensive linemen that have been in our program for 2-3-4 years.

Hoke has constantly done this "if the game were today/tomorrow" stuff in fall camp, it means literally nothing.  The starters he talks about today will change by next Saturday and the starters next Saturday may not be the starters heading into South Bend.  This tends to be a motivational tool he uses IMO, guys busting their tails in practice and having a good week get a shoutout, the people perceived to be the starters are aware that this is a constant competition, etc, etc.

I'm not Brian from MGo so I won't make a bet involving eating a lemon, but I would be stunned if Glasgow, R is actually starting on the D-line in a week.

Yep, not interested in what Hoke is saying (or isn't saying) and I don't care who starts today, in 7 days, or 5 weeks from now.  Results are the only thing that matters and I don't care where or who they come from.  Everything else is just noise.

It's game week. I highly doubt we're burning 1st team reps on a guy we don't plan to log extensive PT.
