Michigan Athletics Announces 2014 Football Ticket Packs and Group Sale Options - Wednesday, May 28, 2014 3:14 PM

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan Athletic Department announced Wednesday (May 28) four ticket options for the 2014 football season.  Michigan football fans can choose from three ticket pack options with the ‘Go Blue’ Pack, the Fan Choice Pack and the Family Pack presented by WWJ Newsradio 950 as well as a new group sales option.
"There has never been a better opportunity to see a Michigan football game at Michigan Stadium,” said Hunter Lochmann, Chief Marketing Officer for Michigan Athletics. “A smaller returning student ticket number has opened ticket availability and allowed us to create and offer these affordable and fan-friendly ticket offers.
“Between ticket packs where fans can create their own packs, the third season of the popular family packs and this season, new group sales opportunities, we think we have created a ticket plan for every Michigan football fan,” added Lochmann.
Starting as low as $200 is the Go Blue Ticket Pack where fans will receive a ticket to the Penn State (Oct. 11) and Miami (Ohio) University (Sept. 13) games as well as the opportunity to select one of the remaining five contests. Patrons will also receive a free adidas Michigan ‘Go Blue’ Baseball hat.
Fans interested in purchasing the Fan Choice Pack will have the ability to select tickets for three games of their choosing with the exception of the Penn State game. These fan choice packages may start as low as $150 depending on which games are chosen.

Back by popular demand is the Family Pack presented by WWJ Newsradio 950 available at four games this season: Appalachian State (Aug. 30), Miami (Ohio) University (Sept. 13), Utah (Sept. 20) and/or Maryland (Nov. 22). The Family Pack includes four (4) tickets, four (4) t-shirts from the M Den, four (4) beverages, four (4) hot dogs and two (2) game programs – starting as low as $260. This is a savings of over $120.

Groups of 15 or more can receive special Group Sales pricing and take advantage of fan experience options for the first time at Michigan Stadium. To receive priority access to group sales pricing and fan experience packages, email the Michigan Athletics Group Sales Department atgobluegroupsales@umich.edu.

Here is another result of the failure to win games…the students don’t give a sh*t and would rather party their asses off and watch the game on their 80 inch TV…while eating and drinking for WAY less than they can at the Big House….and can piss in the bushes rather than wait 30 minutes for the trough.

Go Blue!!

Ohio St.'s actions are not unlike their lower intestine: stinky and loaded with danger.

Wow, this is actually sad. I'm waiting for the other gimmicks to churn out now- like free pizza row, mascot races and the Kiss Cam.
....and you are correct Scottsdale, it's all about the lack of winning coupled with the Michigan Athletics money grab.
For at least 20 years, you never heard an advertisement, saw a billboard, or could even sniff a ticket for a Red Wings game- because they won year in and year out. But the last three seasons, I've seen lots of billboards, ticket packs, family packs and other gimmicks to attract fans; because the team has taken a step back. I hate it that we're now lumped in with the Red Wings, Pistons and even the Spartans where we've got to advertise to sell tickets; it hurts the pride a little bit. Two things need to happen: 1) Reset your ticket structure to something that makes economic sense and 2) create a culture of winning.
I've said it before, we're on a slippery slope toward having a game with attendance under 100,000.....soon.
Keep the change, ya filthy animal....

The home schedule is pathetic, of course sales are low. Penn St is the only home game worth paying for. Yes there's a national trend of declining attendance, even at schools like Alabama. The average price of a CFB ticket has increased drastically while the home slate put before fans has drastically decreased in appeal.
It's not rocket science. When you price the average fan out of the equation and there is little interest is dragging the fam out to ol State U, dealing with parking & traffic, increased merchandise and concessions, just to watch a game against Miami (OH) the results are predictable.
p.s Student attendance is a separate animal altogether.
