Michigan Spring Game 2014: Scrimmage Results in More Questions Than Answers - Saturday, April 05, 2014 7:59 PM

Spring practice was supposed to signify a new beginning for Michigan, a fresh start for a team hoping to bury the disappointment of last season’s tailspin.
But the first play from scrimmage dredged up bad memories from the team’s last game at Michigan Stadium.

Frankly, I just don't like the way the entire day was run. In my opinion, you'd like to have a gameday type setting for this. It looked like about 30,000 people showed up; but once the impression was given that this was going to be a glorified practice, people started leaving. I'd say a good 5,000 people left before they decided to start scrimmaging.

I heard three cheers all day. One for Howard, Wheatley and Woodson, one for Howard's "touchdown", and one for Canteen's downfield catch (oh yeah, and one more for the guy who kicked the field goal for $300). Other than that; crickets....but I think a lot of that had to do with the way the day was laid out.

It was a confusing way to have a "Spring Game", in my opinion. The fans were taken out of it from the get go. No scoreboard, no clock, no PA announcer....nothing. I felt like I was at a Tigers Game during a rain delay.
Every day you get up for work, just remember that we are all Dave Brandon's hoes.
