Stanford does this as well. I have no problem with it, and most people won't even know about the change.

It's about as stupid as the leaders and legends divisions...but I guess $10M is $10M so with that kind of jack, you can pretty much dictate anything you want a college to do for you.

Maybe I can donate $100 and have them name a toilet stall in the locker room after me...."hey boys, I took a crap in the ScottsdaleBlue sh*tter!"

as long as this harris family has no influence on future HC hires, I couldn't care less.  not happy about it, but it won't affect my love of UM football one bit, contrary to finding out that the NBA will have advertising on their jerseys sometime in the near future

When I started with the Suns 13 years ago, I was told the NBA would have advertising on their jersey’s in the near future…lol

This is pathetic but it's not like anybody is going to refer to our coach in this way.  They might refer to him as LOSER! or Rod 2.0 but never The J. Ira and Nicki Harris Football Coach. ;)

Glad we have an advertising ban inside the stadium, perhaps we should extend that ban to other aspects of our athletic program.  If I were Ira Harris, I would be embarrassed.  Everyone already knows they are big donors.

As if the next game on ESPN they're going to show Brady on the sideline and then the announcer's going to say, "There's the J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Head Coach of the University of Michigan Head Football Coach".

Oh and I agree 110% with Michfan!

Sure, we won't put any advertising inside the stadium. But really, why stop at naming the Head Coach at this point? It's all about the $$$$ and nothing more anymore to our AD. This mentality is eventually going to catch up to this institution. At some point, the elasticity of people's willingness to dole out cash will be broken. Only problem is that Dave Brandon hasn't figured that out yet.

With that, I bring you the Little Caesar's Pizza Michigan Defensive position breakdown (because when it's about the money, who cares if it's not Dominoes?):

- Arby's RDT
- JCPenney RDE
- Sun MicroSystems LDE
- Mary Sue Coleman's LDE
- Carnival Cruise Lines WLB
- Count Chocula MLB
- Mentos SLB
- Summer's Eve LCB
- Preparation-H SS
- AMC Theater WS
- Nickelodeon RCB

Also, going forward, all jerseys should have no blue showing whatsoever. The proper jersey should look much like a NASCAR vehicle.

At postgame interviews, Jake Ryan should say stuff like "yeah, I had a great run going today- gotta thank the makers of Count Chocula for getting me going this morning."

Some of you clearly have no idea what Brandon is there to do. Job number one? MAKE MONEY. The budget for the Michigan Athletic Department is gigantic. He has to fund it. Every year. Then, he has to balance the budget because technically athletic departments are non-profits.

At first I thought this was horrible. But after hearing that Stanford and Northwestern I'm less worried. He won't be referred by that title unless it is in a press release. ESPN isn't going to call him that on air.
