I am interested in what many of you are thinking in regards to our football program, especially after the hiring of a new offensive coordinator. Nussimier has shown he can lead an efficient offense and also be very product at player development, things many of us..........including myself, complained about all season long....
So lets hear it.......... What are your guys "way to early" predictions for this football program....

Here is mine
Appy State...W. No way we lose to this team again. No where near the 2007 version.
1-0
@ND.............L. They get Gohlston back, in S. Bend, night game. Bad vibes on this one.
1-1
Mia (OH).......W. We should never lose to a MAC school. NEVER.
2-1
Utah..............W. This game could give us problems. But being at home, I say we get 'em.
3-1
Minn..............W. Gophers looked better this year, but I don't think they beat us in AA.
4-1
@RUT...........W. Trip to Jersey, they can play tough........ But it's Rutgers. Win for Blue!
5-1
PSU...............W. Blue wins as PSU struggles with coaching transition. We don't miss Fg's.
6-1
@msu.............L. Not there yet, again. Doesn't help that the game is in EL AGAIN.
6-2
IU...................W. We SHOULD throttle the Hoosiers.
7-2
@ NW............W. This team doesn't scare me. They will make it close, but Blue finds a way.
8-2
Maryland........W. no way do the turtles beat us in AA in their first season.
9-2
@osu..............L. Same as the msu game, just not there yet, especially to win on the road.
9-3

Now I know this may seem quite optimistic after this disaster of a season we just went through, but with the new OC who has a track record of player development, I see this as highly probable. Hell, my Best case scenario would be that we pull of an upset of OSU or MSU and finish 10-2, but I am not going to EXPECT some type of Auburn turnaround here.

I think there will be a lot of progress on the offensive side of the ball. And lets be honest, our defense laid an egg a few times, but many times they were put in awful positions by the offensive play calling and turnovers. I see an improvement really on both sides of the ball.

9-3 and a Jan. 1st Bowl game. I hate saying this, because it seems that as every year passes I always see us as "two years out" from really being a contender, but.......if they can just start developing some of this talent they are recruiting, I don't see why we can't be a real contender in 2015.

I looked at our schedule earlier this week and thought to myself, there is no reason we can’t go 10-2 next year…now with this hire, I’m even more convinced that there is NO reason we can’t win 10 games next season. We don’t have close to the talent that Bama has, but this guy didn’t always have ‘Bama’ talent and was still able to produce. We have enough talent for him to have the offense score some points and move the damn ball…no more of this 125 plays of negative or zero yards sh*t. I can’t see any way in which our D gets worse as most everybody returns and we get some nice guys coming in (mainly Peppers).

Go Blue!!

Ohio St.'s actions are not unlike their lower intestine: stinky and loaded with danger.

Improvement at OC is one necessary piece of puzzle but we still need more. We need player development across the board, offense and defense. As of now the O-line is still set to be coached by the same man that hasn't developed jack over the last 2 years. The secondary is still underachiving. D-line still lacks elite talent.

I`m stuck at 8-4/9-3 right now

We had a "easier" schedule this year. ND, Sparty, and Ohio State all on the road. Penn State and Utah at home are no cake walks.

Sorry, but I`m allergic to kool-aid. Good OC hire and all

If we don't get rid of our dback coach, (I'm assuming our online coach time is out IMO).....I still for see a 5-7 win season, a loss to a Mac team and app st playing g us HARDER THAN ANY OF U THINK!

With further upgrades I see a 10 winner is possible, still got some dead weight.

I think we're overrating ND with Gholston just a little bit. Now, this is still a difficult matchup playing them at ND. However, just because it's at night, does not mean it's a tougher game. I've been to the ND-UM game for the past 3 years and there's is no way in hell their crowd could even compete with our environment we've had for the past 2 night games. They were dead almost the entire game. They sucked. Our team has played in way worse environments. @PSU, @OSU, @MSU are all 10x's tougher.

Also, playing ND early is a huge factor. Gholston took a whole year off of football. That's HUGE. I'd rather play him early before he starts to get in a zone and in a groove offensively. Their Dline is also young without Tuitt and Nix manning that Dline. They also lose 2 of their better LB's. Although Jaylon Smith will be a stud, he's still just a sophomore and only 1 of 4 starting LB's. Their DB's should be better as they were young last year.

Now, I'm not saying we win, but it is definitely more of a toss up or more of a game in our favor than people think. Remember the last time we played them at ND. Gholston couldn't even make it till halftime. It could be a shootout, but our D is better than theirs going into next year.

I think we go 2-1 in the rivalry games, but I wouldn't be stunned if we went 3-0. We return a ton in the 2 deep and I know that this past season doesn't indicate a turnaround, but I just see a turnaround like 06 for some reason. There are some key pieces returning and this new OC has me excited for this offense.

Tell me one thing about ND that frightens you next year? Other than being a road game, there is nothing about them that scares me.

The only thing that frightens me against ND is Michigan.  I see 8-4 and not much else and 90% of this is due to line play.  Everybody talks about the speed in the SEC and all the play makers and blah, blah, blah but the real difference between us and the elite teams are the lines, particularly the D lines.  We had one of the worst D lines I've ever seen at Michigan this past year and I can probably say the same thing about the O line.  It doesn't seem that long ago that we would have 2 or even 3 All-Americans (at a minimum All-Big Ten) on the O line every year.  I just don't see where the improvement will come from in one year.  On defense, throw in very average linebackers and weak safeties and, well, here we are again.  Good hire at OC but we still have a staff that has shown zero ability to develop players, especially the lines.  8-4 at best.

I will say 8-4 worst, 10-2 best. I definitely don't see us beating OSU in Cbus, and we always blow one game we shouldn't.

Living 30 minutes away from ND, all I see on the news every day is how ND has lost another player to the NFL or academic issues.....football and basketball BOTH.

Something is going on there......Kelly needs to tighten things up.

Tk beat me to the punch.....not much about ND Scares me. I mean they do have talent every year usually and I hope they never get rolling because of that.

What does scare me is the though of Funk and Mallory keeping their jobs somehow. We do that I guarantee a loss at ND. (And yes I'm willing to BWW it again)
