Greatest UM RB's of all time
-
Tuesday, February 26, 2013 3:18 PM
I got to thinking who are the best RB's in UM history here is my ranking 5. Mike Hart- wasnt my favorite and least talented but did put in 4 years of work and was a UM guy all the way. 4. Butch Woolfolk- Not too many people know he shared time his first couple of years at UM but had an awesome Rose Bowl and was a power and speed guy 3. Jamie Morris-undersized but very effective. no breakaway speed but enough to rack up big chunks of yards. 2. Ty Wheatley- Fast as hell and made big plays. Injury prone but exciting to watch 1.A-Train- this ia a no brainer could run you over or run by you. Won the IA game as a frosh for UM not too mention my favorite play the 75 yd screen pass against OSU ( I was there!!!)

Depends, if you are making a career list, those might work...but Biakabutuka was arguably the most talented to play here and had possibly the best season (even with injuries) that any Michigan RB has ever had here.

MY ranking: 1) Mike Hart - my favorite all-time U-M RB & never fumbled!! 2) Tyrone Wheatley - LOVED his running style...like watching a powerful gazelle!! 3) Anthony "A-Train" Thomas - GREAT combination of speed & power! 4) Tim Biakabutuka - 300+ yds v Ohio in 1995...enough said 5) Chris Perry - The main reason IMO that we won the B1G Championship in 2003...which was the last time we won the conference outright

You beat me to it!! Hes my fav of all time (UM)... Ill never forget my Panthers drafting him 1st round, and I was telling any fan that would listen, how amazing he was between & outside tackle, how amazing his cuts were, etc etc...... Then, he runs behind the worst NFL oline in history.......Well, we havent drafted a single UM player since........(That I know of) What a shame, too bad he came here instead of a good team, he couldve been really special in the NFL.

Only candidates are Woodson and Harmon... oh and Dez. that might make for an interesting topic, "best performance vs tsiO"......Harmon has to be a lock for #1 though, the dude rushed for like 3-4 TDs, punted 50 yarders, kicked his own EP's, had like 3-4 ints.....and got a standing ovation from buckeye nation!!! I think he played all 60 mins too maybe? not sure......I think the rest fight for 2nd place. lol

Guys I've seen play and know: 1.) Tyrone "cream of" Wheatley 2.) Morris 3.) Timmy B 4.) A-Train 5.) Hart Go Blue!!
Ohio St.'s actions are not unlike their lower intestine: stinky and loaded with danger.

He may have not been the greatest, but I always thought Rob Lytle was always a good hard worker of a back.
