I have mixed emotions about JH. He is a jerk, which helped him as a player but doesn't help him in other areas.
His success as a coach doesn't erase the jerky things he's done off the field over the years. The problem with Jim is that's he never wrong, even when he is. He ran a charity in Ann Arbor for a while. It turned is was spending *WAY* too much on expenses. When the story came out he blamed the newspaper, denied everything and said people just didn't appreciate him. When the audit documents came out which showed he was wrong instead of fixing the problem, he closed the charity and never mentioned it again.
This is just one example of stuff he's pulled around here. Of course, Jim is famous (infamous) for whining about Michigan academic standards for football players without mentioning that he was the recipient of some lowered standards when he was on the team.
I'll be the first to admit that while I rooted for him as player, college and pro, but I don't root for him as a coach. I don't like him and I don't like his values. There's a night and day difference between him and his brother. John Harbaugh rocks. If Baltimore plays the 49ers I hope John kicks Jim's @ss.
