Ok gentlemen time to put our $ where our mouths are. It's prediction time. Wins & losses, Bowl game matchup & results & any weird prediction you may have bouncing around in your head. I'll start.

Overall Record: 8-5 Losses to ND, MooU, NW, pO$U, & bowl opponent.

Speaking of bowls: Gator Bowl opponent Ole Miss final score OM 24 UM 17.

Bold prediction: Peppers returns a punt for a TD against Rutgers in the 4th quarter saving the game as we pull out a 21-17 victory.

Crazy prediction: In homage to Woody Hayes Nuss sucker punches Hoke on the sideline during the Gator Bowl & stands over him screaming quit $&@?!%# clapping when bad &@"? happens!!! And wear a $&(@"!?$& headset!!!!!

Just the last paragraph jsj. Perhaps more wishful thinking than tongue in cheek:)

Prediction: I will love and hate this team to varying degrees at different points throughout this season depending upon their play.

If we lose to ND, sparty, and osu, I just don't see how we can keep Hoke around any longer.

...and if we need a 4th quarter TD to edge Rutgers, I may need to cash in my chips.

This program used to have trouble traveling to the west coast, but struggling to win in Connecticut and Jersey in successive years would be a joke.

Expectations should be high. NW lost Venrick Mark, pOSU lost Miller, ND lost 4 players, Penn State is still not very deep, and the rest of the home schedule is softer than warm butter. Expectations should be double digit wins, however.....

My prediction is 8-4. Losses all on the road MooU, NW, pOSU, and Rutgers. For whatever reason, we have been pretty bad away from the Big House during Hoke's tenure (7-10) and with the OL still a big question mark I cannot predict those double digit wins.

My prediction is 8-4. Losses all on the road MooU, NW, pOSU, and Rutgers.

Very possible, and the absolute worst thing that could happen to this program IMO.  The Hoke sack-riders and DB could say Hoke improved--completely ignoring the soft schedule--and deserves another year, while those with actual expectations could say the team lost to its 2 biggest rivals AGAIN, and is only 1 win better than the program Hoke took over 4 years earlier, so essentially stasis is all he would've done.

Either improve markedly and keep moving up, or see the team quit AGAIN and let a new regime try to put the pieces together.

I predict we win all of our regular season games and lose both of our post season games (B1G championship and bowl game).
Good luck RR! Go Hoke! Go Blue!

10-2. Not sure about bowl. We won't sniff the playoffs but we'll be right there for BIG Champs. Beat Ohio, lose to MSU and someone we're not supposed to lose to on the road.
Top Choices:
1. Jeremy Pruitt 2. Rhett Lashlee 3. Jake Spavital  4. Josh Heupel 5. Chad Morris

I think we are in for a nice surprise , I believe we match up to any team we have on the schedule. Only loss might be a bowl lose if we face oregon.
LETS GET BACK TO WINNING

Wow some of you guys are incredibly optimistic.

I wont say its impossible that we get to 10 wins, but that would take some luck & vast improvement across the board from coaches & players.

However I would bet my 1st born son that we don't make it through the regular season undefeated nor will we play in the B1G Championship game.

I'll say 9-3. Lose to Sparty and Ohio, and Michigan has always been good for a loss it has no business losing-probably Rutgers. But I think 10-2 is very manageable and wouldn't be at all surprised if that's what we get to.

Im with BHF 9-3 IF we go 10-2 we beat either Moo u or tsiO at their house. Id really love to go take back our mojo in the ohio rivalry, only way to do that is to go to their house and take it back!

If we go 10-2 I predict a trip to the BIG champ game, which we lose....Not sure to who.

But we rebound and win the buffalo wild wings bowl, or some other crap bowl. Soooo....Whats that like 10-3 or 11-3

Not gonna lie, Im pouring a cup, not a big cup though......

Every year I get suckered into drinking a sip, always regret selling out later on, hopefully this is the year I dont regret it!!

Overall record: 10-2

Bowl game: Fiesta Bowl v Auburn...27-20 win, ending with a defensive stand on a Peppers' INT!

Bold prediction: we win 2 of our 3 rivalry games on the road!

Crazy prediction (at least, in most eyes): OL gets better & better and Derrick Green rushes for 1,000+ yds!

My heart says 11-1 with a loss @Michigan State. Ohio State without Miller and a shaky O-line/secondary are primed to be beaten and with four of their best players likely out with academic issues, ND becomes a win.

My head says by the time we hit game 12, Ohio State will have figured out it's O-line and have a QB up to speed. There's also the customary loss to a team we have no business losing to.

I`ll go 9-3 with losses @OSU, @Mich St, and some other team TBA (Penn St, Maryland, NW are the likeliest candidates).

Possibility for 10 wins depending on the bowl opponent.

Either improve markedly and keep moving up, or see the team quit AGAIN and let a new regime try to put the pieces together.

Moving on doesn't appear to be a viable option if the Wolverines plan on winning on the elite level any time soon.
Brian at MGoBlog says it clearly here:

How do we get away from here?

Many of you aren't going to like my answer to this. It is: hold on to what we have and hope like hell. Transitions are awful. Michigan has suffered through two consecutive botched ones that left the roster in a state of strip-mined mid-majordom for the better part of a decade. The next one will either be run by Dave Brandon or an unknown person who has just arrived. With nothing approximating a terrific idea out there after Texas snapped up Charlie Strong, with zero reasonable, available Michigan Man™ options out there, the move appears to be to sit tight and hope.

If the winged helmets are to indeed rise again, the clearest path appears to be behind Brady Hoke. Another shift in power will almost certainly include another unwanted step back.

This Team will go 10-2

L's @Rutgers: after a 5-0 start and the week before the highly anticipated PSU night game in a conference road game played at night. Perfect recipe for a trap game upset.

@Michigan State, Sparty will reap the benefits of consecutive home games. Michigan will end the losing streak in the Horseshoe this season and the Bucks will beat MSU, but the Wolverine's upset loss against Rutgers will cost them a spot in Indianopolis. The Selection Committee will put the 10-2 Wolverines in the Cotton Bowl.

Which will set the Maize and Blue up for a huge 2015

Those who stay...
