Offered by MSU, Cincinnati and Arizona State in the last couple days. He told Spartan Mag he's meeting with Hoke and Mattison tomorrow.

How is he suppose to defend a 6-3, 210 pound WR in the B10? Go Blue!!

ScottsdaleBlue How is he suppose to defend a 6-3, 210 pound WR in the B10? Go Blue!! Athleticism, fluid hips, and good instincts can negate size somewhat. There is only so much a kid this small can do though against those type of receivers. You have to put him in the best possible matchup size-wise and have a safety over the top in mistmatch situations.

ScottsdaleBlue How is he suppose to defend a 6-3, 210 pound WR in the B10? Go Blue!! How is a 6' 3", 210 pound receiver expected to shake a corner with more quickness? It goes both ways, and as long as Richardson puts himself in the right places he'll cause an incompletion on anything except a perfectly placed ball. I like those chances.

I remember another 5-9 CB from Cass Tech a couple years ago. How did that work out for us.... Go Blue!!

I'll tell ya how....run down the field, have the QB chuck it up and jump. Quickness is good in small places, but that little dude on the outside against a bigger, stronger WR will lose almost every time. Obviously, there are exceptions, but unless this little dude is the next Antoine Winfield of the Big 10, I'd say he gonna have a tough time. Go Blue!!

Quickness, anticipation and ball skills are all more valuable at the corner position than size, I'd much rather have a 5'9" corner who can move than a 6' corner who can't break on a ball, just ask Appalachian State why they beat us. If you can't get there to have a chance to make a play you're useless, which is why most corners are under six feet tall, despite what some rosters might list. He has great hips and closing speed, and if he makes the right reads he'll make plays at the next level.

FWIW, there's been a significant uptick in optimism regarding Michigan's chances among insiders and recruiting analysts. Seems like UM just may be near or at the top for him now.
