I loathe Rich Rod. He's an attention whore and frankly, doesn't deserve the attention of a Michigan/Arizona game.

Go Blue!!

P.S. The agreement doesn't start until 2017, so odds are Rich Rod won't be there anyways.

Really? I hadn't noticed....

Well, according to Dave Brandon, we will likely be scheduling PAC 12 before then.  Dont you think AZ will be pushing for a game in a couple of years. YOU BET!

I would have expected nothing less than you responding 30 seconds after my post.

Go Blue!!

Ohio St.'s actions are not unlike their lower intestine: stinky and loaded with danger.

Hell will freeze over before Brandon schedules a game with AZ, there are 11 other teams to choose from.

A Michigan/Arizona game doesn't get scheduled until 2024 and beyond IMO. Brandon would have to be crazy.

Go Blue!!

Have to figure we`ll be playing home and home series with the Pac 12. Theoretically we could wait 20+ years before playing Arizona.

Brandon is also a savvy businessman.  Think of the buzz that  would be generated from such a match up

Common sense says no to scheduling AZ.  Enter: Dave Brandon.  Exit: common sense.  This is a perfect opportunity for a new jersey and to play the game under the lights on a Thursday night.  Brandon can't pass THAT up.  (BIG roll of the eyes)

Not the kind of buzz that Brandon wants. The game would be a spectacle and God forbid Arizona win the game.................

You don't think the App State game isn't gonna get hyped in the same way an AZ game would?  I can't believe he scheduled them again. I would have rather played another MAC school.  God forbid we loose to them AGAIN!   That would be truly embarrassing.

No, not even close.

No one will mind talking about App State. There are no uncomfortable questions to avoid or topics that are off limits. In all honestly I think Brandon would rather deal with the backlash of a second loss to App State than a loss to the coach he fired.

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez has agreed to a two-year contract extension through 2019 that will raise his base salary to $1.9 million.

Rodriguez has led the Wildcats to a pair of 8-5 seasons and two bowl wins since arriving in Tucson.

Rodriguez will receive $500,000 for peripheral duties like radio and TV appearances, and has numerous performance incentives, including $1 million for a national title and $300,000 for a Pac-12 championship.

That's the difference between Arizona and Michigan and part of why it's a better fit there than here. Multiple 8-5 seasons get you put on the hot seat in A2, it gets you a raise in AZ.

Granted there is also a difference in resources.

We just suffered through a 8-5 and then 7-6 season, at no point have I gotten the impression Hoke is on the hot seat in any way, shape or form, other than with the fans.
