Just read in the Dallas News that he may be out as ESPN's lead announcer for college football since his contact expired after the NC game. Hope this is true!!!! A side note is that Dan Dierdorf will retire after Sundays night Colts-Patriots game. He would be on my all time Wolverine offensive line.

What's wrong with Mussberger?  Maybe gets confused sometimes, but great voice and great lecherous vibe.

Who'd become #1 then, Sean McDonaugh?  I was in a Southwest line with him heading to the 2012 Sugar Bowl (can't believe ESPN makes their talent take SW).  He had just done the Fiesta Bowl for TV the night before and told me he was heading to NOLA to do radio for the Sugar Bowl.  He also has a great voice, but I'd miss Mussberger.  He was no Keith Jackson, but for a while he's been the main voice of CFB for me.

Brad Nessler would probably take the top spot. I've always liked games call ed by Dan Shulman but he mostly does basketball.

I hope Nessler gets the #1 spot.  He's a good play caller, has a very good feel for the game, and has enough presence to catch his own mistakes and correct them swiftly.

Never liked Mush. Like Jack Brickhouse - was not sure what was going on in the game / didn't care. Just liked to talk. Good riddance!

Good luck to you Brent.  Now if only I didn't have to hear Spielman on Michigan's games, then I would be happy.

Nobody can make a first down sound like a last-second FG to win the Super Bowl like Musberger can.  He's beyond annoying.  I'll take Nessler all day over Pussberger.

NOBODY ever came close to Keith Jackson.  He's the bar and nobody has touched it.

Good luck to you Brent.  Now if only I didn't have to hear Spielman on Michigan's games, then I would be happy.

I find Spielman's typical broadcast partner (Sean McDonough) a lot more annoying than Spielman.

I agree with you to a point.  However, I lived in Columbus for 16 years and listened to Chris on local radio.  He's a smart guy but bleeds red and gray.  I think he says what you want to hear and tries to be objective, but in reality he isn't.  He's a Buckeye and that always comes through regardless of his respect for Michigan.

No don't take Brent! How in God's name am I going to know where everyone involved in every play was born and raised now?
