Just hearing this on CBS pregame NE game.....I like Dan in the booth personally, not the greatest voice, but very distinctive and actually adds something to conversations.
It was an impressive achievement, of course, and a human achievement by the members of the IBM team, but Deep Blue was only intelligent the way your programmable alarm clock is intelligent.. -Kasparov

Well just now I thought Dans in its was pure stupidity. High snap for NE best thing that could happen was a safety and deirdorf is railing that the punter shoulda ate it at the hLf yRd line Stupid woulda gave them 1st and goal give up two instead of 7 or 3

Thought the same. Why would you possibly give the team at a minimum. 3pts and likely 7 Pts instead of 2.

I guess my point is loved dan as a wolverine and remember him more as a mean SOB along with Conrad Dobler with the old St. Louis cardinals as an announcer not so much

Man no love. I didn't think he was the greatest announcer but its not like he's millen or that other "a$$hat who's name I won't even mention" because just seeing his name causes nausea symptoms.
