He's 100% complicit in this and that's very disturbing. There's no possible way he isn't... What a loser.

Of course he was in on it. The alternative is that he's stupid and a loser. It's so weird. Almost like the hoax that we all fell for that ND was good and Te'o could tackle.

Te'o is obviously a Seinfeld fan. Reminds of the episode where George fakes having a dead supermodel girlfriend to gain sympathy and access to a club.

Didn't he say in one of his interviews that he got a call from his cousin or brother and that is how he found out she died.  Crazy ass Islanders/Samoans!  I lived in Hawaii and deployed with a unit that was about 85% Pacific Islander with a 45% Samoan population and honestly this kind of dumb stuff happens with them all the time.

BHF, the AD really stuck his neck out for Te'o and insisted that he was the victim. Deflected a lot of story detail questions for Manti to answer at a future time. 

Jack Swarbrick started crying and essentially put his career and credibility on the line.

I mean, I want to believe Te'o. But in order to do that I have to believe that a person had an online relationship with someone that they never, ever, actually met in person. And this went on for years? He was so emotionally connected to her that he was thinking of marrying her?...but he never met her? That's a stretch. 
 
And, if I want to believe that then I have to believe that Te'o lied about actually meeting her, because there are articles all over that say he met her after the Stanford game in California. AND then what do I make of his Dad being quoted as saying that she would fly to Hawaii and meet Te'o?? I mean, how did that go? "Dad, I really like her, but the world wouldn't understand, could you just say that you've met her?" 
 
I mean, I want to her from Te'o for sure, but holy cow, sure seems like he was in on it and what kind of sick and twisted person would do that? Maybe it was a little lie that got out of hand? But why start it in the first place. As sad as it is, it looks like it was all about promoting himself, and if he did that then isn't fair to say that he even used the (real) death of his grandmother in much the same way?? 

Classic ND fans...here's a quote from a friend of mine in Chicago after I've been busting his balls all night:

So them finishing #2 one year brings them away from being mediocre? In 06 we essentially finished #2 and should have been in the title game.

And of course, this isn't the only weird additional wrinkle to come out tonight. A fullback on the Arizona Cardinals named Reagan Mauia claims that he knew Lennay Kekua, who almost everyone agrees at this point does not exist. According to ESPN, "When told by a reporter that she apparently might not have existed, Mauia said: 'No, she is real.'"

If you followed Te'o up through HS you know he likes attention. His signing day presser was a circus. There's no doubt in my mind that he was involved.
 
Big man on campus needs an online GF when he could pull any chick in South Bend??? I`m no detective but I know BS when I see it.
