With all respect to Manningham who has made some huge catches in both his Michigan and Giants uniform, he did run himself out a huge catch that could have iced the game earlier. He righted his wrong though and ran a similar route better. Interesting the overanalyzation of that play but the Pats were lined up incorrectly in the Tampa two and were a few yards off in their coverage scheme allowing for that window to be open. Kudos for executing.

As far as Billy Boy is concerned, it is pick your poison, so yeah make them utilize their 3rd WR and 8th string TE.

Exactly.  Manningham can't run a clean route and he drops more than he catches so yeah, you have to make him beat you.  It wasn't what Manningham did as much as what NE didn't do. The coverage was horrible.  And give Manning credit-it was a great throw.  Even though I can't STAND him or the Giants.

The coverage wasn't the greatest... but it was just an awesome throw and awesome catch. If that ball is a foot or two either way... that isn't a completion.

Giants got ALL the breaks and that's why they won the game.

I think that's more than a slight exaggeration.  Mario is a great athlete.  As a Browns fan, (but, isn't pro ball boring?) I would like to see him in their uniform next year.

As a Browns fan, I find myself caring less and less about the NFL each year. If we end up drafting RGIII it may be worth paying attention for the first few games.

Pro football is exciting when your team is winning but when they have not won in so long it makes not worth watching. Michigan football is different win or lose ill always be watching.
Hardcore Michigan Fan. Always have been always will be.

I get Carolina panther tickets for free or I get to be one of the stand by Medics on the field, so I enjoy the games while Im there, but i certainly wouldnt pay for a ticket to watch a game there. I like pros a little bit, but would much rather be at the Big house on saturdays, truth be told!!!

Manningham was always known for his clutch and big time catches when at UM.  You figure Belichek would know the players' strengths  a bit better
