Lewan is a top 10 pick, he'd be crazy to stay. Look what happened to Barkley, he went from a top 5-10 pick to maybe not even a 1st rounder. Go Blue!!

His stock will never be higher than it is right now. A lot can go wrong between now and next January. Considering the shape the O-line will likely be in next year he could really hurt himself.

I'll put my money on him leaving. He dominated "the best football player in the country" today

(ass)Clowney was the Player of the Game today. That's laughable. You couldn't tell if he was even playing until half way through the 4th. He wasn't the best player on the field-he wasn't even the best player on his own team. Lewan looked terrible against Ohio but he certainly took it to Clown today so yeah, his stock is probably sky high right now.

He wasn't the best defensive linemen today. Of course the others got to go up against the rest of our O-Line.

He is more than welcomed down here in Carolinaville, our poor pantters need some Serious OL help.... Of course Jerry Richardson (the heart stealer) hasnt recruited Michigan players since the days of Biakabatuka......Sighhhh, well probably select some chump again.

http://mobile.mlive.com/a...m?contentguid=TFqLxldC The junior said he will wait to reveal his plans publicly until he has a chance to first speak with teammates. Then, he plans to make a formal announcement. "I haven't addressed the team yet," Lewan said. "I'll address the team, then we'll do whatever (sports information director) Justin Dickens, Coach (Brady) Hoke wants to do and how he wants to let that out to the public. "It's not fair to my team to tell y'all, then not tell them." Why hold off for a formal announcement if he actually intended to stay for his senior season? "Next question," Lewan said. Go Blue!!

His mom was on my flight home from Tampa last night so he hung out with her at the gate until we boarded. He's definitely a tall guy, but not as thick as I expected. I considered asking him about staying another year just in passing, but he was with his mom and I saw people start bugging him a little later, so I was glad I didn't. This much is true, he still seems very much like a kid, so another year in college would do him some good. Of course, I'm not the guy who would stand to lose millions if I came back for another year and suffered a career-ending injury, so my opinion is academic.

Kid is definitely a talent but I honestly believe that he needs another year to develop. If not I feel he will suffer riding pine in the NFL for several years. Too immature and hotheaded, more of a liability than an asset at times because of poor decision making skills. With that said, he will probably go for the money! GO BLUE!

I just don't see him staying. His stock is sky high especially after he dominated the so-called best player on the field by all of the Espn talking heads. I can't see him coming back, risking sustaining an injury and causing his draft status to plummet. He may need some grooming, but it isn't enough to keep him from being a legit top 10 pick in this upcoming draft. You look at guys like Matt Barkley who have cost themselves millions by opting to come back for one more year and I think Lewan is as good as gone.
GO BLUE!!!

I think there is potential for him to stay and leave.......I agree another year wouldn't hurt him. Has he completed his degree yet or close to it? I wonder if the academic side would play a role I his decision, I believe he is a redshirt senior now correct? I dunno just a thought.

My position in these cases is if they are thinking about going to the draft, they should go. All too often when a player has come back after seriously considering, he tenderfoots his way through his last season. Matt Leinart is the only player I can remember who almost went to the draft, came back to college, and had a good year.

I dont think you can compare a QB staying to a offensive Tackle...

He had a quote saying that the South Carolina game didn't effect his decision, if anything, it solidified it. That tells me he's staying. We should know by Monday or Tuesday.

Harbaugh04 I dont think you can compare a QB staying to a offensive Tackle... Why not? Are you saying Lewan can't knock up a volleball-player girlfriend if he comes back?
