Leaders and Legends to stay...for now

http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7536205/big-ten-reassess-legends-leaders-names "We've had enough experience with names and expansion and development of divisions that we know that you rarely get a 90 percent approval rating," Delany told WGN Radio in Chicago shortly after the announcement. "But to get a 90 percent non-approval rating was really surprising. It showed that we didn't connect with our fans in a way that we wanted to. It's humbling, to say the least." But the Big Ten is keeping the names anyway. Here's the part that will surprise some folks: Many Big Ten fans seem to want it that way. Of the 516 fans surveyed, 57 percent either liked the division names "somewhat" or "very much." About 35 percent disliked the names somewhat or very much, while only 8 percent were neutral. Yeah, but what did the survey instrument say? How were the questions phrased? How many survey were handed out? How many people didn't bother to answer? Bottom line- the Big Ten continues to spin what is a bad decision.

i don't care for the names either, but what bothers me more is the actual alignment of the teams in the divisions. UM and OSU should have been in the same division to avoid rematches. there should only be one THE GAME every year

No one I've talked to cares for the names. They're a joke. And as for the allignment, I understand the mentality that there should only be one THE GAME every year, but come on, that's a very elitist perspective and the B1G has to obviously be concerned about the other 10 teams in the conference. They divided us and tO$U to provide balanced divisions and while I'd like to have seen a more geographic divide in the teams, I think they were successful in what they set out to do.

I like the alignment, the way it is, but the names are HORRIBLE
