Hoke seems determined to bet next season—and possibly his future as Michigan head coach—on his current staff that won 11 games in his first season (11-2) but only 15 in the two seasons since (15-11). Worse still, Michigan finished this campaign losing six out of its last eight games.

Rumor going around the Scout free board (take it for what it is worth) is that 1-4 coaches are going to be getting the axe...hope it is true.

Fred Jackson retires?

My guess is that IF coaches are not brought back next season it won't be announced until after these said coaches find other employment and then it will be said the coaches left on their own for other opportunities.

yeah, let's blanket the firings to spare their feelings.  All the while other coaches are done with their seasons and being hired at other universities.

We'll left with table scraps, again, if that's what's happening.

Either pull the trigger on something, or solidify there will be no changes.  imo

IF, we are in the market for new coaches, Hoke is not waiting for our current coaches to find jobs before we hire our own. IF, we are in the market for new coaches, Hoke is out actively looking right now for the replacements.

according to The Beav over at Scout, all coaches are "off" this week and are at home.  Personally, I don't know who I'd want out there looking for new coaches, but I don't think I'd trust who Hoke would hire at this point anyway.

It's not unusual for changes to come after signing day-- if any changes are going to happen.

Michigan will probably notify, if they have not already, the asst. coaches who will return. Reason they won't wait until signing day is because it is simply unfair to the coach. With the national coaches meeting coming this week, they will give those coaches an opportunity to latch on with another club. So expect some news this week.

Saw that quote basically verbatim on either Scout of GBM.
