Big Ten is 3-0 thus far

Rutgers beat Washington State
Minnesota beat Eastern Illinois
Michigan State beat Jacksonville state

7-0 Penn State so far. UCF got called for roughing the kicker which extended PSU's first drive.

I think Rutgers is better than Purdue...and maybe Illinois...and most years Indiana.

In the battle of atrocious offensive lines, PSU leads UCF 10-3 at the half.

PSU coaching staff is loading up the box now as the UCF QB cannot hit any receiver whatsoever.

Hackenburg looks good when he has time, but he has faced quite a bit of pressure. He's gonna get hit a lot...and I mean A LOT this year if this Oline doesn't improve. This kid would be, or is, a helluva talent back there at QB, but his Oline is atrocious and his receivers are average (outside of Jesse James).

I agree and while WSU isn't great, they are better under Leach than they were for several years before.  Also Rutgers is way east.  Teams in the midwest don't seem to enjoy going west, but Rutgers comported themselves pretty well.  I'm not sure I'd feel confident about UM opening up in Pullman this season.

PSU-UCF had an exciting 2nd half.

UCF with the QB change after halftime to add some life to UCF.

PSU wins 26-24 on a GW FG as time expires.

O$U down 7-3 to Navy in 2nd Q.

Go Blue!!

Ohio St.'s actions are not unlike their lower intestine: stinky and loaded with danger.

Well a couple of Big Ten teams survive scares.

OSU survives Navy
Illinois survives YSU
Iowa survives Northern Iowa

Purdue in a fight right now and Indiana not looking like the offensive juggernaut right now against Indiana State.

Highlight of the Purdue game

osu went as I expected.  Tight early with osu pulling away late.  osu gave up a ton of rushing yards though.  Granted it was against the unique triple option, but still.

Big Ten 10-0 now

good start for the conference, but obviously the only game that matters this week in the perception of the conference is the LSU-Wisconsin game.

Rutgers running attack with Paul James is good ... that could be a much tougher game than expected.

The only thing that makes it tough to me is the fact we play them on the road at night. Rutgers is always tougher at night.

I don't know though. I really think this team is good though. I don't think they'll be bluffing this time after they beat ND next week. I think between the more aggressive defense and the improved (it may not be vastly improved, but even slightly improved) offensive line, this team is really good.

I hope you're right, and thought the pass d looked much improved with the tighter coverage and good pressure on the qb, but I'm sure the Rutgers o-line is bigger and better than App St's, and App St had more success running the ball than they should have, imo.  I'm expecting a tough game, especially at night in NJ ... but first we'll see how it goes at night in South Bend.
