Scottsdale must be (passed) out, so I'll help him by chumming the waters.

The Fighting RichRods of Tucson are down 13-14 halfway through the second quarter to UT-San Antonio.  UTSA just had a big punt return and are back in Wildcats territory.  At least his D appears to be in mid-season form.

A few observations.

Anu Solomon is probably his worst passing QB since Threet/Sheridan.
Jones Grigsby has not played and he was their best RB last week...not sure why.
The defense hasn't played bad....but they should be a bit better.

*edit* of course as soon as I hit post UTSA converts a 4th and 11 and 2 plays later score a TD. 26-23 Arizona.

UofA made adjustments on D. When I started the thread, there was 8 minutes left in the second quarter and they had already given up 177 yards. They held them in check pretty well the rest of the way.

Doubt they expected such a close game when they scheduled UTSA, and have no idea why they agreed to a road game.

That is what a typical Rich Rodriquez team looks like.

Team? No. Anu Solomon still looks like a high school QB though, and in a way kinda is. This was only his 2nd game at QB at this level for the redshirt freshmen.

Ohio St.'s actions are not unlike their lower intestine: stinky and loaded with danger.

B1G not looking so hot in these early games.
Penn State, Nebraska, and Wisconsin all leading by 7 points or less against Akron, McNeese State, and Western Illinois respectfully
Purdue and Illinois are losing to CMU and Western Kentucky respectfully

Only Rutgers is taking care of business as they should, up 31-7 at the half over Howard

Hmm..Oklahoma's Blake Bell goes from starting QB in his JR season to a TE now.

Nebraska and Wiscy looking very average.  Badgers QB situation is a mess.  Things look favorable for Iowa in the West.

and people give me sh1t for not rooting for osu and sparty tonight.  You got Purdue, Wiscy, and Nebraska doing a fine job of embarrassing the conference on their own right now.

Iowa didn't look too good last week against NIU. Iowa held a 1 point lead half way through the 4th quarter.

Iowa usually play OOC close, though.  The point is the West seems to be markedly weaker than the East, even more so than most expected.

Almost like my thought on Uof A that started this thread, as soon as I posted about Wiscy's QB situation, I don't believe McAvoy has missed a pass and he's thrown 2 TDs.

Son of a bitch. Go to turn on the MSU/Oregon game and I am not going to get it in my area. The Fox station here is showing the freaking Marshall game.
