Not surprising, but pathetic nonetheless.

Well, Auburn was 3-9 in 2012 and not ranked to start 2013....if that means anything.

Florida is ranked but we aren't? Florida is a tier 2 SEC team which means they automatically are going to lose 4 games

Yes, because we suck.  Pretty simple.   7-6 teams are a dime a dozen.

It's easy TK...now that we have the OC from Bama, we should be tanked in the top 10.

24. Michigan Wolverines
After a 7-6 disaster this past season, in which the Wolverines lost five of their last six games, they'll be looking to bounce back in a big way in 2014. Coach Brady Hoke fired offensive coordinator Al Borges and replaced him with former Alabama coordinator Doug Nussmeier. Quarterback Devin Gardner is coming back for his senior season, but the offensive line is really going to have to improve if he's going to become more consistent. Michigan will have to replace left tackle Taylor Lewan, along with top receiver Jeremy Gallon and leading rusher Fitzgerald Toussaint. Seven starters are coming back on defense, but the Wolverines will have to replace both interior tackles and both safeties. The Wolverines won't play Iowa, Nebraska or Wisconsin during the regular season, but they'll play at Notre Dame, Michigan State and Ohio State.

Replace our leading rusher? LoL were a joke. Were in real bad possible scenario this year IMO. Could be the perfect storm on the offense side of the ball. Gallon missing is really going to sting.

25. Michigan Wolverines
It might be a big season for Wolverines coach Brady Hoke, who is out to prove that last season's 7-6 finish was an anomaly. Hoke hasn't been shy about questioning the leadership and toughness of last season's team. But if Michigan is going to rebound in Hoke's fourth season in Ann Arbor, the Wolverines will have to be much better on both lines of scrimmage. Quarterback Devin Gardner struggled last season, but it certainly didn't help that he was sacked a whopping 34 times. Even worse, Michigan lost All-Big Ten tackle Taylor Lewan and right tackle Michael Schofield. New offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier wants the Wolverines to run the ball downhill, so finding five capable starters on the line will be a priority in preseason camp. Wide receiver Freddy Canteen, a midyear enrollee, was perhaps the biggest surprise of the spring and might give UM a much-needed deep threat in the passing game.

Michigan was ranked very well in 1997 to start the season.

We were ranked 17th in 1997 so not terrible.

We also had one of the toughest schedule's in the country in 97 that allowed us to jump up the rankings the more we won. We played 6 ranked teams., including 3 in the top 10 at the time we played them.

We MAY play 3 ranked teams this year.

These polls, are nothing more than shots in the dark. I would put way more $ on someone being able to come up with an accurate  weather prediction for next January than I would this "way too early top 25" being accurate next January.
