Had to work but got to watch some of it. Great road win once again! This team has come along way since the start of the year. There's only one loss I'd like to have back and that is the Arizona game. We had them and didn't finish. I think they learned a lot from that loss. Go Blue!

First time in 4045 days either of the two major sports have won in Columbus.

Oddly enough, the basketball team's drought was shorter (2003) than the football team's current one (2000).

This is something I have said since I've joined this board, when a team is in a year after year losing slump to their rival, losing all momentum. The only way to get the rivalry back on track is to go to THEIR house and take it back! Good to see Beliens boys go take care of their bizinass down there in cbus!

Now for team 135 to go down there and claim what is rightfully theirs this year!

I so enjoyed going to tonight's much more than last years game in Columbus.  No greater feeling in the world than watching the mass exodus at the 90 second mark.

GREAT NIGHT

Were you waving buh bye to Al,the Buckeye faithful leaving early last night?

I love waiting 3,000 - 4,000 days between victories over O$U. It takes a special kind of program to pull off that accomplishment. Leaders and Best!

I wasn't trying to get stabbed or anything.  But I did say to my brother "hey, where's everyone going?"  and just started laughing.

why doesn't he play?  We should be rotating every big man we have in there.  Unless he's not as tall as I think he is.

Kaminsky went off for them in the 2nd half (Mainly the last 5 minutes). We had no answer for him.

What the hell was up with that jump ball call though (down 9 with 2 minutes left)? There was 25 seconds left on the shot clock, should've been a 10 second call anyways on Wisky and the refs go and add a second to the shot clock and give Wisconsin the ball. Kaminsky proceeds to drill a 3 as the shot clock expires.

Next Sundays game is now a must if we want to finish in the top 4 in conference a win today keeps us tied with 5 to go and really a legit chance to win this conference solo just dissapointed with the lack of effort especially in the 1st half. We miss Treys penetration and the ability to dish. Too many turnovers lack if movement and failure to share the ball plus No rebounding equals piss poor game

Sparty was downed today at home to Nebraska to take the the sting of our home loss away a bit... That was only Nebraska's 2nd road win of the season btw...

Next Sunday's game with Sparty is huge to say the least, but even if we lose, Sparty has a FAR tougher finish hosting Iowa and @ OSU in their last two games.

GO BLUE!!!

Hope this game doesn't come back to haunt us in the BIG race......

Why doesn't GR3 step up like he did late in 4th only to disappear again? The kid is obviously talented and gifted. He should get plenty of 1 on 1 looks they way teams are covering the perimeter with nik. I wish he would play looser not afraid to make misses or mistakes. I think he is afraid to miss shots for whatever reason.

I believe he has to step up if were gonna win BIG. I just don't get him sometimes.

Do you hear yourself? I mean seriously?????

Instead of hoping that GRII will maybe, oh I don't know, find a way to maximize his potential you just want to be rid of him? As though he owes you something? If GRII was a problem off the court, or a bad teammate, or uncoachable I could understand why you'd say something like that. As things stand you sound like a loon.

folks relax they did not start the game well hence the reason for the loss. It was to a top team in the conference and they split with them so its not so bad. This def needs to serve as a wake up call to come to play. the bad start forced them to play catch-up the whole game and they (UW) had an unexpected hot hand yesterday which always helps. Only concern I see right now is getting GR3 and Nick off more and I am baffled on how to do it. I know this is going to sound crazy but I think for streches in the game he should play D Walton and Spike together and let Nick run off some screens and get moving without the ball.   Also I say more ISO matchups for GR3 as well. Not all the time but at least 2-4 times a half get an iso for him.

This isn't an isolated situation; it's been happening the last 3 games.

Iowa - down 14pts in the first 10 minutes, never recovered and got blown out.
O$U - down 9 in first 10 minutes, O$U went COLD and we pulled it out in the second half.
Wisky - down 10 in first 5 minutes, down 15 at half, never recovered and got blown out, AT HOME!

If we continue to stay in the locker room for the first halves of games, we aren't going to win anything.

Interesting stat:

Stauskas scoring pre-NBA talk with he and his dad - 17.4pts per game.
Stauskas scoring post-NBA talk with he and his dad - 12pts per game.

Go Blue!!

There are two issues with GRII.

The first is that he/we haven't developed any sort of independent game offensively. GRII does not/cannot create his own shot. He's a horrible ball handler and hasn't shown any ability to score on the block (that's the case for all of our forwards though) so he's really dependent on other people to get him shots. We'd all love to see him take guys 1 on 1 but that's not a part of his game at this point despite his talent and ridiculous athleticism.

Which brings us to the 2nd issue, we're 66th in the country in assist per game and both our PGs average under 3 apg. Derrick Walton has made tremendous strides but one thing we don't get much from him is driving and kicking the ball out to open guys. The majority of Walton's assist have come on fast breaks or off the pick and roll neither of which involve GRII very much.

One of those 2 situations has to change/improve before I`d expect any sort of breakout from Robinson. Since I HIGHLY doubt Robinson is going to suddenly develop slashing or post up ability between now and March, the more realistic option is for us (particularly our PGs) to do a better job of setting guys up and getting them good shots.
