This team is completely one-dimensional.  We'll go as far as that takes us. The fact that we're still in the hunt surprises me.

Just a whole lot of standing around yesterday.  Not sure why but not a lot of effort.

still a lot of bball to be played, but if we can beat Sparty on Sunday, we have the better chance of finishing on top.

Sparty still has to play a ranked Iowa and osu team.  We finish the season with 4 unranked opponents.  If we beat Sparty, and DON'T win the B1G, it will be a HUGE disappointment.

folks relax they did not start the game well hence the reason for the loss. It was to a top team in the conference and they split with them so its not so bad. This def needs to serve as a wake up call to come to play. the bad start forced them to play catch-up the whole game and they (UW) had an unexpected hot hand yesterday which always helps. Only concern I see right now is getting GR3 and Nick off more and I am baffled on how to do it. I know this is going to sound crazy but I think for streches in the game he should play D Walton and Spike together and let Nick run off some screens and get moving without the ball.   Also I say more ISO matchups for GR3 as well. Not all the time but at least 2-4 times a half get an iso for him.

This isn't an isolated situation; it's been happening the last 3 games.

Iowa - down 14pts in the first 10 minutes, never recovered and got blown out.
O$U - down 9 in first 10 minutes, O$U went COLD and we pulled it out in the second half.
Wisky - down 10 in first 5 minutes, down 15 at half, never recovered and got blown out, AT HOME!

If we continue to stay in the locker room for the first halves of games, we aren't going to win anything.

Interesting stat:

Stauskas scoring pre-NBA talk with he and his dad - 17.4pts per game.
Stauskas scoring post-NBA talk with he and his dad - 12pts per game.

Go Blue!!

They havent started out good the last three your right. Iowa I can write off because they were on the road. OSU shoed they are battle tested and yestrday is probablt the one game of concern for sure but again in the world of CBB they are still quite ok.

I am concerned about the tourney because last year they played like crap to end the season and went far in the NCAA.

Staukkas needs to move with out the ball more. thats his issue right now teams are putting the clam on him and when het gets the ball its easier to double him than without.

There are two issues with GRII.

The first is that he/we haven't developed any sort of independent game offensively. GRII does not/cannot create his own shot. He's a horrible ball handler and hasn't shown any ability to score on the block (that's the case for all of our forwards though) so he's really dependent on other people to get him shots. We'd all love to see him take guys 1 on 1 but that's not a part of his game at this point despite his talent and ridiculous athleticism.

Which brings us to the 2nd issue, we're 66th in the country in assist per game and both our PGs average under 3 apg. Derrick Walton has made tremendous strides but one thing we don't get much from him is driving and kicking the ball out to open guys. The majority of Walton's assist have come on fast breaks or off the pick and roll neither of which involve GRII very much.

One of those 2 situations has to change/improve before I`d expect any sort of breakout from Robinson. Since I HIGHLY doubt Robinson is going to suddenly develop slashing or post up ability between now and March, the more realistic option is for us (particularly our PGs) to do a better job of setting guys up and getting them good shots.

I have to disagree with you on GR3 he can create his own shot I have seen him do it plenty of times. For him its all mental. I have said this since I hacve seen him play. He plays alot like his dad did especially in the pros. He is very non-chalant and not fierce enough. He can handle the ball fine for a guy his size. He can get to the rim off the dribble but Dan Dakich said it best during I think the Iowa game "being cool is for the club" referring to GR3 not playing with enough fire. I would bet anything that GR can create his own shot, post a guy up, hit open jumpers I have seen him do all of it. He just has to want it for himself and I dont think he is wired that way.

With GR its not the skill MF4L its the attitude.

We`ll have to agree to disagree on this one lol.

The majority of GRII's turnovers come when he tries to go off the dribble. It's often a disaster which I think feeds into his lack of confidence. There are times when he just catches the ball and explodes to the rim but those are few and far between and rarely happen he's closely guard.

I just hope Robinson goes pro sick of his act.

Do you hear yourself? I mean seriously?????

Instead of hoping that GRII will maybe, oh I don't know, find a way to maximize his potential you just want to be rid of him? As though he owes you something? If GRII was a problem off the court, or a bad teammate, or uncoachable I could understand why you'd say something like that. As things stand you sound like a loon.

Take a pill! I am just tired of his lack of hustling, rebounding and defense. All this takes effort which he does not always use. No need to get personal. GEEZ!

We can agree to doisagree thats ok with me LOL

Just to clarify my point I dont think it is a matterof he doesnt have the skills I think its a matter of doing it!! And your right at times he doesnt do the things to create off the dribble. But I would argue he has the skils to.

As for the PG situation neither of those guys are threats to go to the rack like Trey. Therefore your not going to get the drive and dish because teams see them drive and will take their chances on them finishing at the hoop so they wont collapse on them when they penetrate.

As for Walton I think he can devleop that by next season his assists should be up!!!

It was a long night for me... Don't really wanna be awake at 10 to watch but I'll nap later jsj lol! Anyways Robinson gets a and 1 opportunity and misses his free throw.. That's three straight foul shots he's missed. I just flat out have a problem with him. And Levert is an absolute MONSTER!

Well Good morning sunshine!! lol    Yeah, would be hard to wake up just to watch an unmotivated GR3 out there...... But he has taken a few shots and missed them, which is what I want to see. Take shots, even if you miss them, the buckets will come. Lets see if he takes more chances 2nd half.

Levent has IT today! did u see the staukaus to Levent pass and 3 pointer at the buzzer? HAHAHAAA eat that moo u!

This is what the U-M brass thought after the 12-10 win in 2012. It's what led to arrogance like the skywriting plane over Spartan Stadium. They thought Hoke had turned the tables.

Great win yesterday started so-so and finished great now stay the course and finish strong an outright B10 championship would mean a 2 or 3 seed at worse. Probably more like a two seed. This year more than the doing well in the NCAA's I want them to win the B10 tourney they havent since the first one in '97 I want that more than an NCAA .(Although I would take an NCAA Champ as well. LOL!!) GO BLUE!!!!

From that point on we owned them, plus Izzo is a proven coach but what a whiney assed. crybaby tired of his assed backwards compliments and his team was "tired" boo hoo you douche man up and admit we biotch slapped u twice GO BLUE

As much as I want to dis Izzo frankly I cant argue with the comments about his team. Thye have played thru everything right now and he is still very much in the hunt shows you the type of program he runs which Belien is running as well. Lost his AA an in position to win the conference outright....

Trsut me I dislike MSU as much as the next guy but he does have a point about his team

with that said yes he should have said and I quote we got our a$$es kicked by a better team!!!!
