I hope tate goes elsewhere as well, just don't get a good feeling about him. He seems very hungry for attention and kind of terrelle pryor-esque in an overdramatic fashion.

It's like the end of two a days and everyone is ready to hit someone with a different helmet.

I am not too concerned about this, yet. Any good recruiter has back up plans for situations like this. I will trust that RR is one of those good recruiters and he seems to already have a different plan in full swing.

Didn't realize Madtadder was a mod... must not have recieved the memo.

I'm definitely not a mod, but we have forums for a reason. Recruiting has its own forum because otherwise the football thread becomes pretty unreadable. I was just having a good time, no ill intents.

Your post was done in a very mean-spirited tone. Possibly you should think before you submit. I didn't appreciate the slam. Yeah, I'm an older guy, was in a hurry and made a mistake. I was trying to let you guys know what I thought was breaking and important news. No more!! Why not PM me or let the mods see it and move it??

It's not that big of deal everyone, you made a quick post and someone correctly pointed out that it belonged in the recruiting forum... which happens all the time on forums like this. There is absolutely no need to take any of this personally. Why don't you leave it at that and lets move on shall we?

With this development, do you guys think we'll hear anything relatively soon after Forcier's visit on the 30th?

I think both Forcier and Michigan will be better off if he does not choose Michigan. I don't think he will commit on or around 8/30, and I hope coaches persuade him elsewhere. That's just me.

I think so. He didnt even set a visit until Newsome dropped off. He wants to play for a big crowd and he will get just that at Michigan.Unlike the older Forcier Tate is much quicker and has a much better arm.He will fit in good at Michigan.

I hope we do but then again I think he may drag it out for a little while since he knows we need another qb commit. Also there is an article on rivals where Tate talks about Newsome decommiting and the opportunity at Michigan. Could someone with access to rivals please post the article??

I am not so sure he can beat out Feagin. Been hearing nothing but postive's about his camp.

Excuse me? You haven't been listening then. Feagin is far, far behind Threet and Sheridan at this point. RR said himself he's behind because he so much catching up to do. And then he fell behind even more because he's been limited in practice with shoulder fatigue.

Feagin is not a factor in the QB race. He was an emergency backup plan as a recruit, and he will be an emergency backup plan as an actual QB. He might see the field to run, but if he's in as our starting QB at any point, the QB situation is in much worse shape than it already is. When Beaver and Forcier/Smith arrive next year (Beaver especially, since he'll be an early enrollee), Feagin will either remain buried on the depth chart or look for a new position.

Is it just me or does anyone else think this is not as bad as it may seem. Did anyone really count on this guy the last few months with all that has been coming out.? If anything I think this makes us stronger. Beaver will be here but I am not so sure he can beat out Feagin. Been hearing nothing but postive's about his camp. Not to mention this just might lock up Forcier. So lose Newsome gain Forcier. Not so bad. I' ll take it. And even if Forcier does not come, I think we are fine with Beaver, and Feagin. Not to mention RR WILL get someone to replace.
