I agree that article sounds like he is going to be playing for the Nutt.

I think many people may have overlooked the possibility of him recommitting back to Arkansas, which to me sounds likely. Considering 1) he's only visited Ark and Ole Miss, 2) people say it's hard to lure kids away from the South, 3) it's hard to imagine a 5 star committing to Ole Miss that came in at the bottom of its league (0-8) last season, no matter how much of a "turnaround story" Darius believes it would be. But still, Michigan is by far the most attractive option to him in my opinion, strongest class of 09 so far. Random fact: all 3 of his potential schools are having new coaches. Also.. the Utah game now has A LOT on the line considering how many recruits' decisions (Forcier, Roh, 2 Pahokee kids, Winston on 4/5th...) hinge on that weekend.

One of the biggest reasons I think he will commit to Ole Miss is because of the relationship he has with the coaches that are there. He is also committing right after his visit there, which to me sounds like he just wants to make sure before he makes it public.

So the good thing about Michigan is that he was promised the same things as the other schools in his top 5? Doesn't look too good.

Yeah, he basically gave it away that he's going to Ole Miss, of all places.

We're going to learn a brutal lesson this year about just how hard it is to steal high profile guys from the South, I think.

Um, he originally committed to Arkansas on February 7th. Petrino was the coach of Arkansas for almost two months by then.

If that were the reason why he decommited from Arkansas he wouldn't have named Michigan his leader immediately after backing out. He doesn't need a visit to Michigan to know what they offer, so my guess is that he is going to be blue.

I agree it doesn't look good for us because he hasn't visited here. On the other hand, Shavodrick Beaver committed without ever visiting so it's not impossible.

So did DeQuinta Jones and Jeremy Gallon.

It would certainly be better if he made a decision after visiting, but it's not at all impossible that he feels comfortable enough with the coaches that he feels he doesn't need to see the campus.

It's possible Hopson and RR informed Winston that they're low on scholarships and need a decision from him sooner than later, and he accelerated his decision process because of that.

We'll see.
