yeah, he basically won three games with kids he didn't recruit at a school not known for being a national power.

1 year later, he won 9 games.

No way he comes into Michigan and loses more than 6 games this year. Talent alone should be good enough for six or seven wins.

season 3 is the money season to me.

When Carr was the coach, most complained including me. Now RR is the coach and ppl complain. At least we can say this----for the first time in probably 8 years, noone will know whats coming on our first offensive play of the year.

I think the transition has been as smooth (football-wise) as could be expected. We are going to be talented this year and I like the fact that noone believes in us.

They keep flashing that graphic about RR and his 3-8 first season at WV. Yeah, go ahead and throw that out the window b/c that has no bearing on this season at all.

This is the most anticipated Michigan football season by far for me. I can't wait to see what we're going to do.

Even if we lose a couple games, we won't be predictable. I think we're going to be good this year though.

Good point and very good comeback. Some people tend to forget how much Coach Carr accomplished in his time at Michigan.

Yep. Can't discount what Carr accomplished. But you have to look at the entire picture and if you're happy with the progress of the program the last 7 years, so be it. (Crediting him for "coaching" a Heisman winner is a stretch of Olympic proportions but hey, have at it.) The only thing that DOES matter is this: Carr is gone and we have a new coach. People need to get their arms around it and deal with it.

I couldnt have said it any better... Well put... lets all just move on and embrace what we got.....

Wow...I'm starting to worry we found ourselves a dumb coach. In the quickfire question segment, it took him forever to answer those questions.....What is he going to do when its late in the fourth quarter and he needs to make a decision FAST?

Just wondering whether you knew this or not, but there was a delay between her asking the question and him hearing it. You could see him listening after the question was asked. That just might have had something to do with his slow responses. RR may be several things, but one thing he is definitely not is dumb.

BINGO....definitely didn't catch that at first. My bad. Also, dumb was not the word I should have used. I know a lot of people who are very smart, but are relatively slow thinking....if you can understand what I mean.

haha you know theres like a few second delay during those video teleconferences right??? Just because we hear her finish asking the question... he doesnt hear her finish for like 2 or 3 more seconds.

I think he'll be a little more focused when he's calling plays and making decisions than when he's being asked who has the best uniforms besides UM or which AA pizza joint he likes the most.

He'll play a prevent defense and let the opponent drive 80 yards in 30 seconds to lose the game. Wait. That was the last coach. He'll have a fan on a forum call him dumb because he couldn't answer "quickfire" questions on some stupid TV show..uh...quick enough. Wait. That just happened. There's dumb and then there's dumber.

Yeah, especially in those situations late in the game when someone up in the booth asks him about pizza or fishing; we'll be screwed!
