(ZooWolverine)

It's hard to picture halfway between the stadium and domino farms since they're on opposite sides of town. Would you want to be near campus? Or are you just saying that you're working near Domino Farms but would appreciate being near the stadium also?

Also, when are you thinking of moving in?

I don't know apartments around here too well since I haven't looked around in many years but hopefully someone else can put in some good pointers.

RE: Moving to A2? (kinny18)

I am looking for a studio kind of halfway between Michigan Stadium and Domino Farms. I know that isn't much information, but I am really in the dark with everything. So any direction you can point me is a big help!

RE: Moving to A2? (ZooWolverine)

kinny18

Are there any suggestions out there as far as apartments you have lived in or anything?

I currently live in Huron Towers (http://www.hurontowers.com/) which is expensive but nice. The buildings kind of old and utilitarian (read not so pretty) but it's a nice place to live, they take care of you and the maintenance staff is great. It's near U of M's north campus so it's a little further away from the action which is a little good and bad both (more good as I get a little older).

If you're looking for the coming school year, you're not going to have a lot of options especially if you want to be close to central campus. If it's a decent apartment, it's been rented out for a long time. If you don't want to live as close to campus, there are probably still some good places available.

I can't really give you a good guess for apartment costs without knowing a little more about what you're looking for. Do you want to be close to campus (which is much more expensive), do you want to live alone or are you going to try to share with someone and how big of an apartment are you looking for (studio, 1br, 2br...)

Re: RE: Moving to A2? (MMB95)

Just moved out of my one bedroom apartment in A2 of 8 years. The rates changed every year but for the last year I was paying $699/month. It was mostly students in my complex, though. For nicer apartments with more family oriented/professionals living there expect to pay more.

RE: Moving to A2? (kinny18)

 Hello all,

I recently was offered an internship in Ann Arbor and in deciding on if I should take it I am trying to come up with some financial analysis. What I am wondering is what would a nice apartment in Ann Arbor cost roughly? Any help you have would be appreciated.
