The folks over at Rivals now believe it's not a matter of "if" McNeal will commit to Michigan, but "when." He's attending Rich Rod's barbeque on the 17th, and Beaver has been in his ear ever since he (Beaver) committed.

Let us not forget Herbstreit too. Side note, Thomas Dewey that lost to Truman was a cousin of mine and is actually from Owosso, MI. But back to football, this kid looks to be hinting perhaps, or maybe playing the recruiting game. Either way, if we land him, he looks to be a fine addition to next years class.

Thanks for the update, glad I kept the word "possible" in the title

Somewhat off-topic, I enjoy the unneccessary low blow to "bloggers" and phrases like "the legit press" by what appears to be Scout here... especially considering that nowhere in Brian's post does he say anything about Bryce officially committing, just that signs are looking good and several people reported having heard this from him, the error is in titling the post "McNeal to Michigan" he should've said something along the lines of "signs are looking good". This whole "legit media" stuff is laughable especially coming from a recruiting site (they're NEVER wrong!)... and naturally the mainstream media has never once missed on a story before... "Dewey Defeats Truman"...

Anywho, onward and upward!

I was excited as well...until i read this...

Unlike bloggers, the legit press has be responsible for what it prints in this manner ... so we just now (8:30 AM EST) talked to Mr. McNeal (michigan.scout.com/2/751631.html ):

Jaunted over to mgoblog this morning and they're reporting that Bryce McNeal is going to commit... not exactly an official announcement yet, but it's nice to see an outside receiver of his calibre so interested even with all the changes and the uncertainties at the quarterback spot.
