MichFan4Life It's now Thursday, nothing OFFICIAL has come out Curious Yeah, if there was anything to this, we probably would've heard something (other than some random dude posting on Mike Valenti's board) by now.

MattyGoBlue! Buckeyes85 I guess if 1k posts over 7 or 8 years is obsessive then I'm guilty as charged. Some folks prefer their football dicussion to me more like a circle jerk: "XXX recruit is awesome!" "Yea, we are going 12-0 and there ain't now way we don't;" "our coach is awesome; our team is awesome; we are awesome", blah blah blah. That's not me. I debate for a living so I would rather jump into the fray with the enemy than stand around patting other fans on the back and offering nothing meaningful to the discussion. And if you don't appreciate the sarcasm, let me put it in a more straightforward manner: it's idiotic to attempt to tell a fan of any team how they feel about their team. I would hardly say that we stand around patting other fans on the back offering nothing meaningful to the discussion. There is plenty of debate amongst Michigan fans alone in here with regards to a variety of topics. I don't mind bucknuts coming over to our boards and getting in on some of the debates. It's when they get their panties all in a wad when they see us putting down their players and such that I think they cross the line! What do they expect to find on a Michigan board? IMO, it's their input that often adds nothing meaningful to the discussion! And speaking of adding nothing meaningful to the discussions, it is almost impossible to do so on one of your bucknut message boards without a) getting banned for having a differering opinion or b) getting called every derogatory Michgan slang in the book by some of the classy bucknut posters that infest those sites. I'm not saying you're one of those 85. From what I can tell, you're one of the more civil bucknut contributors to this site. I just had to take my shot at your post above dealing with buckeye fans obsessed with all things Michigan. I had a feeling you would come back with that argument dealing with your longevity of membership here on this board though... TRANSLATION: Not agreeing with a Michigan fan or actually debating a point. ;)

Wolverine Football Wow, that poster better be right about this...that's slander if it isn't correct. I don't think I've ever heard of a website or blogger get sued for slander or liable. Anyone else?? Phil, do you have any kind of legal obligation to what we post on here or is everything kind of held in a grey area as far as the law goes??

BigHouseFootball And here we go again. Any OSU player as much as get looked at by a cop and we jump all over them. One of our guys gets arrested and you all come running to defend. It goes both ways folks. Big time screw up by our boys and if it turns out to be true-most of the time it does-then they need to be punished accordingly. No big deal? I happen to think getting handcuffed and put in the back of a squad car is a big deal. Took a break from the site 'cause I was tired of someone's continual, maniacal, ranting 2nd thread I open up, and it's like I never left

Harsh, and blunt. Maybe a little too blunt. Just tired of the constant BHF bashing. Seems to be in most threads. Dude, along with everyone else, is entitled to his opinion and views. You chose to read every post, Fonzie.

Anyone else?? Phil, do you have any kind of legal obligation to what we post on here or is everything kind of held in a grey area as far as the law goes?? Legally? Not really. A person would need to show that they were somehow damaged by a posting. But in the case of players an arguement could be made that as public figures the standard is different. Personally, I have an obligation to remove things that are blatantly offensive or unsubstantiated. In most cases I'll let stuff sit and see how it plays out. You are responsible for what you post. If someone continuously post false rumors you go away. The "I'm just repeating what I've heard elsewhere" excuse only goes so far. In this case there was a source cited but I'm surprised that more hasn't come out if it really happened. As much as some people would love to believe that there is a conspiracy between the AA police and the AD, there are a fair amount of people in the city who would make a big deal if something like this happened. This thread has run its course.
