Lookout for a possible domino effect in the secondary, we could see a 1-2 DB's commit in the next week or so. Rumor has it we're in the market for 4 guys(possibly 5 if a Super decides) in the secondary, with Robinson and Avery in the fold that leaves 2 spots and a whole lot of DB's on the board that like Michigan. By taking Avery now RR and Co have forced a number of guys to make a decision right now or get left behind. We could see movement from Cullen Christian Rashad Knight Tony Grimes Dior Mathis Travis Williams or Lo Wood(though chances aren't high much to my disappointment)

Seems like a good catch that's gone under the radar. Rivals hasn't even ranked him (Scout gave 3 stars, #23 CB). Some additional color on Avery from a Scout msg board: "Saw this kid, Courtney Avery (Lexington, Ohio / 2010) at the Pittsburgh Combine and he is better than any 2009 player I saw...period. The kid can lock on a receiver and would break up the play or route every single time. No receiver caught a ball while he was on r=the field. The most amazing thing is he never played DB/Safety in high school. He is Lexington High School quarterback and has been the quarterback since his freshman year!! "The kid is the real deal. I saw him play against Ohio Mr Basketball and he held him in check for the whole game!! Whoever he plays for will get a great player!! And he seems to be camping at OSU this weekend. Let's just hope he doesn't flip again if he's offered as it's been mentioned on some boards that he's interested in the Buckeyes.

him and cullen christian whos rated by some as the number 3 cb in the class will be darned effective.
Don't remember clausen from last year. that clausen will be gone soon enough. By the time he has developed a little bit and the domers o-line isnt scrip scrap he will most likely be phenomenal, no matter how much we'll all try to overlook it.

Lo Wood just committed to ND. Does it also appear to others that we've been losing recruiting battles to ND lately? Why's that, and are there any that we beat ND on?
