Michigan fans have to give Demar Dorsey and Rich Rodriguez time to prove themselves

I understand the fervor surrounding Michigan giving a scholarship to safety Demar Dorsey, I just don't like how unwilling some people are to give someone a chance at redemption.
Dorsey was arrested twice as a juvenile.  He was acquitted of one charge, and had the other charge dropped.  While he may not be guilty of those crimes, Dorsey is certainly guilty of poor judgment to even get into those situations.  That doesn't necessarily mean Dorsey is a bad seed.
U-M Coach Rich Rodriguez understands that.  Here are some of his comments from yesterday's press conference that somehow didn't make it into any the stories I read about Dorsey:
"Not everybody's perfect.  Sometimes young people get into the wrong situation at the wrong time . . . you get to hanging around with the wrong people.  That doesn't mean this person is a bad person . . . and I don't think we should pass judgment until you know all the facts."
Let's give Dorsey a chance to prove his bad choices are behind him.
I hope Michigan fans can find the same patience with Rodriguez as well.
I distinctly remember all the complaints I heard in Lloyd Carr's last couple seasons, "His system can't get the Wolverines back to national prominence.  We need to change the way we do things and go in a different direction."
Well, Rodriguez is that change.  He has had some definite growing pains that U-M fans were not expecting, but now that he has completed his second full recruiting class, let's see if he can make it work in Ann Arbor.
Hopefully by this time next year we're still basking in the glory of the positive impact Dorsey made on a Wolverine team that beat Ohio State and won a bowl game.

Ahhh - a voice of reason. Frankly its kind of refreshing. Thanks.
Regarding our military: "If you can't stand behind them, stand in front of them."
RIP Bo. You were an amazing man; it is because of you, I am the Michigan fan I am today.

Between last season's class & this seasons they'd better be able to win a few Big 10 games. I'm not asking for the world but 4-5 conferance games isn't that much to ask for. 1 was not even close to being easy to stomach last season. Were Michigan!

Even with his supporters RR is running out of time. The start of the season was great, noone can deny that, but as was stated before one conference win ain't gonna cut it.
BEWARE the South Side Stench of Colonbus!!!
