Instead of making a new thread every time I create a new desktop wallpaper, I'll just keep posting them in this thread as they are made.  You're all free to use them for your own desktop.  Of course, some are much better than others, but just click on the thumbnails to see the full, hi-res version.

i really like the first Brandon Minor one where it is black, and the Woodson one is really neat as well.

you have a lot of potential, but i would just work on your typography. i like the type on the first Minor one, but i think that the opacity could be toned down a bit, so it doesnt contrast as much with the bg (yellow and black are the colors that contrast the most with each other) and for the woodson one, im not too big on the font choice, but it would be better if you eliminated the stroke from the type and reduced the opacity a tad.

i know you didnt put these up here to be judged, but i like the stuff your putting out, and i thought that i would give some constructive C&C to ya.
would love to see some more from you though, im going to start making some more walls and sigs, and whatnot as well.

oh, and by the way, on the Obi one...dont use Papyrus...its the new comic sans. lol

Sick. And I have a question: What part of photoshop do you use to extract the player images? It is time consuming and every time I get an idea I quit halfway through just because of that process. I made a Vince Carter image, and want to do more with it once I can cut him out without making it look as if it changed at all.

This may sound kind of random but since James Earl Jones is a U of M grad, do you think it'd be possible to make a Darth Vader background with him in winged painted  helmet as some fans do now with maize and blue coloring?

It is time consuming for sure.  I cut using the pen tool.  There's other ways to do it, but this is the method I use and think it's most effective.

yeah, that is a really bad way to make renders. it is very unreliable when you have a very colorful background. using the pen tool to mask and extract is the best way to go. the video even says that its a "quick and dirty" way to do it, but hey, whatever works for you man.

wow man, youre getting better right before our eyes.

the roundtree one is pretty good. the thing that i dont really like is the symmetry of it. im not a fan of the reversed renders. mostly because the numbers are backwards, and it just distracts me from the image as a whole. i like the effect on the main render though. the text is better, not sure if i like the overlap with the roy and the roundtree though. overall nice step up.

the Vlad one is real cool man. i just think you could darken the edges more to more of a black, and maybe lighten up the textures a bit more. i would do away with the " the next all american " text. i just think that it is labeling it too much (imo).
i would definitely make the right render much larger instead of the same size as the main one, and its clone to the left. it would just make it look more visually interesting. LOVE the Vlad the impaler concept though, nice work man.

this stuff is miles ahead of some of the other stuff that you have posted before. keep it up man. i would really like to team up with you on some peices, and share some renders/textures/techniques and whatnot.  ive seen some of the stuff youve gotten off of getty. i think it would be cool to cut and share some renders.

Put together a '09 schedule wallpaper real quick.  Tried to stay clean and professional.  I'll be putting together alternate versions before the season starts.  Without further delay......

On the Brandon Minor one underneath the tate f. one on your original post of all the bkg's how did you make him look like that? It wasn't the cutout feature was it?
