what a shocker that this makes news on signing day. Effing freepress.......... basically no new information and is basically posted just to remind everyone of the pending investigation......

I'm not a fan of the Free Press, but they did meet today, right? At least that's what the article says. They are reporting news of what is happening today, not last week or next week. Had they met tomorrow, the Free Press would have reported it then. Sounds like the University itself is responsible for the timing, not the newspaper.

Interesting that Mlive.com and Detnews.com have not reported on the meeting. Why's that? BTW is the meeting actually news...especially since they had nothing to announce.

Thank you. Also worth noting not a person said anything afterward. Not even Coleman. It was all, "No comment."

WolvyMike maybe it went quickly because the whole thing was a friggin joke to begin with..... Sure. OR It could be because the NCAA actually had power in this case? Once a player is no longer an NCAA player the NCAA cannot make the player talk. If they want to stay tight lipped than that's that. In that case the Feds usually have to get involved because they have subpoena power. See Chris Weber. In this case the NCAA had the entire Michigan football team to talk to and players who have since transferred to other schools. If the player did not speak to the NCAA then the NCAA could have taken away playing time and such. And by the way, the Detroit News is also reporting about the meeting on signing day, I guess they are in on the conspiracy as well.

Can't wait for the report to come out and nail RR. Then UM can pull out his contract and point to the part that says if he violates any NCAA rules that UM can terminate him and not have to pay him a dime. And contrary to what most of you believe there is no way Michigan keeps RR if there is ANY rule violations. This isn't a major violations only type of thing. He gets exposed for breaking any rule he is gone. The UM alumni will not stand for that. And the donors will be in the ear of Brandon (thank God Martin won't have a say) and Coleman. Sorry, we don't keep cheaters.

There is no link. But if you think Brandon and Coleman will keep him if he violates NCAA rules is insane. You combined that with all the other moronic things RR has done or said and that there are still people inside who want RR gone and a growing number of alums who want him gone and it is the perfect storm. BTW, I haven't heard Brandon or Coleman say that RR is safe unless it is major violations. They are keeping a tight lip on this. Yeah, I'm sure that emergency 90 minute Board of Regents meeting was all good news.
