The Hobey Baker Committee has anounced it's 3 finalists for the Hobey award. TJ Hensick was not among them.
Brown (ND, senior goalie), Duncan (NoDak, sophomore forward) and Ehn (Air Force, junior forward) move on to the final round. Only 1 of the finalists listed (Duncan) is still playing in the NCAA tourney, making him the only player that can improve his case. He'll need to if he's going to beat Brown, who had a stifling 1.58 gaa, or Ehn who has to be the emotional favorite, not to mention the nation's number 2 scorer.
I would consider Dexter, MI native Ehn the favorite, with Brown a close second, and Duncan needing a pair of hat tricks and an NCAA title to have a chance. Besides being well qualified, Ehn would be the first Hobey winner from a service academy. That would be fitting, since Hobey himself was a pilot who died in service to his country.
